Caffeine in ABE energy drink:
ABE Energy drink only has 200mg of caffeine per serving because it is a substance that is present in all energy beverages and supplements.
The caffeine level of a 330ml can of ABE Energy has no adverse effects on your body or brain. Instead, you’ll feel incredibly subtle yet potent benefits from taking it.
The FDA suggests that you limit your daily caffeine intake to 400mg. Anything more might have negative consequences such as:
- Concentration Problems
I’ll suggest that you keep your daily intake to one dose if you don’t want to become addicted to caffeine.
Sugar in ABE energy drink:
ABE energy drinks contain no sugar. Instead, the ABE energy drink uses Sucralose.
According to the FDA’s Dietary Guidelines, less than 10% of daily calories should come from added sugars. For instance, you should consume 200 calories or 50g of added sugars per day if your daily calorie intake is 2,000.
Sucralose: What Is It?
Splenda is a brand name for sucralose, an artificial sweetener that frequently comes in a yellow packet. Splenda is different from other sweeteners like aspartame (Equal) and saccharin (Sweet’N Low) since it is derived from genuine sugar. In comparison to other artificial sweeteners, this gives it a flavor that is typically more palatable.
Sucralose has undergone chemical modification to make it 600 times sweeter than actual sugar while containing nearly no calories. Sucralose is used in foods like yogurt, confectionery, ice cream, and soda since it doesn’t leave an aftertaste.
Sucralose is modified both for taste and so that the majority of it flows through your body without being retained for later use as energy. Some naturally occurring components of the sugar molecule known as hydroxyl are changed for chlorine to make sucralose nearly calorie-free.
What Ensures a Sugar-Free Energy Drink?
According to the FDA, an energy drink is deemed sugar-free if each serving has less than 0.5g of sugar. Contrary to popular assumption, an energy drink can’t falsely make the claim that it contains no sugar at all.
These energy drinks continue to be sweet and are quite popular with those who are attempting to lose weight.
Sugar and Cardiac Diseases
There seem to be a lot of indirect correlations between sugar and heart health, despite the fact that the exact relationship is not entirely understood. For example, excessive sugar overloads the liver.
According to Dr. Hu, your liver processes sugar the same way it processes alcohol and turns dietary carbs into fat. This can eventually result in a bigger buildup of fat, which may then develop into fatty liver disease, a factor in diabetes, which increases your risk of heart disease.
Consuming excessive amounts of added sugar can promote chronic inflammation and blood pressure, both of which major pathological paths to heart disease. Because liquid calories are not as filling as calories from solid foods, excessive sugar consumption, especially in sugary beverages, also causes weight gain by deceiving your body into shutting off its mechanism for controlling your hunger.
This is why consuming sugary beverages makes it simpler for people to increase the number of calories in their usual diet.
ABE energy drink Flavors:
ABE energy drink comes in these flavors:
- Orange Burst
- American Grape
- Apple & Elderflower
- Blue Lagoon
- Cloudy Lemonade
- Fruit Candy
American Grape-flavored soda
Although I like the flavor, I find it to be far too sugary and artificial tasting. That must be all the sucralose, then.
However, in some way, the “watery” taste of the carbonated water also gets through, making it both too sweet and slightly watery at the same drink.
Although I enjoy the subtle grape flavor, I won’t be rushing back for this.
This one is good. It tastes a little bit sweeter than Fanta to me. Although there is a subtle artificial flavor, I believe they have almost got this one and it is beautifully balanced.
Fruit Candy Flavor
I didn’t think I would enjoy this one very much because it simply seems like a pretty strange taste choice, and I was correct.
It tastes very fake and sugary to me.
I may not dislike it as much if the ingredients list was healthier and they were able to get this flavor, but simply knowing that the components aren’t that healthy and having it taste so sugary and artificially made… I won’t be rushing back to this one.
Blue Lagoon flavor
I think this is very excellent. It closely resembles a number of other “blue”-themed energy drink flavors offered by other manufacturers. I’m not sure how it stacks up against the competition, but it’s certainly not awful.
The artificial taste is my biggest complaint, but it appears to be present in all of the ABE tastes.
Additionally, it has a robust flavor or is “full-flavored.”
If you enjoy other energy drinks with a “blue” motif, you should probably try this one if you stumble across it.
