Therefore, I don’t believe that Arizona energy drinks should be consumed every day.

Caffeine Contents In Arizona Energy Drink

A can of Arizona energy drink
Arizona Rx energy drink contains the highest caffeine contents among all its products

Caffeine is a powerful stimulant which is why it should be consumed in moderation, otherwise, it can cause side effects. Energy drinks include caffeine in large doses, often higher than the recommended dose.

However, Arizona energy drinks have low to moderate caffeine doses; while Arizona Rx has 175 mg, Arizona Lemon Tea and Sweet Tea have 30 mg, and Arizona Arnold Palmer and Green Tea have 15 mg of caffeine per serving.

Caffeine is considered the most reliable source of energy, while it can increase your physical and cognitive performance, it can also cause side effects, especially when consumed in immoderation.

While a safe dose of caffeine is different for every individual, the FDA recommends cutting down your daily caffeine intake to 400 mg or less to avoid any side effects which may include:

  • Restlessness.
  • Shakiness.
  • Insomnia.
  • Headaches.
  • Dizziness.
  • Fast heart rate.
  • Dehydration.
  • Anxiety.
  • Dependency.

In addition, people who’re sensitive to caffeine can drink all the products of Arizona except Rx Energy as it includes 175 mg of caffeine which can be too much for them and may lead to side effects like:

  • Increased heartbeat.
  • Headache.
  • Jitters.
  • Nervousness.
  • Getting anxious.
  • Restlessness.
  • Insomnia.

Arizona energy drinks include moderate contents of caffeine, so you don’t necessarily have to worry about the side effects linked with excess caffeine intake. However, I can’t say the same about the sugar content.

Sugar Contents In Arizona Energy Drink

Sugar improves your mood and gives you a boost of energy, basically sugar is a happy pill, which can also turn into a dangerous pill if consumed irresponsibly. Sugar is used as an additive that can mask the bitterness of ingredients, which is why you’ll see it in large doses in energy drinks.

While not all energy drinks include sugar, Arizona energy drinks certainly do. Arizona Rx Energy includes 37 g, Lemon Tea has 35 g, Sweet Tea has 32 g, Green Tea has 25, and Arnold Palmer has 19 g of sugar per serving.

None of the products of Arizona energy drinks contain moderate sugar contents, therefore chronic and immoderate intake can easily lead to side effects which include:

  • Headaches.
  • Irritability.
  • Fatigue.
  • Difficulty concentrating.
  • Feeling jittery.
  • Having anxiety.
  • Feeling shaky.
  • Dizziness.
  • Hunger.
  • Bloating.

Whereas in severe cases, sugar can lead to:

  • Higher blood pressure.
  • Inflammation.
  • Weight gain.
  • Diabetes.
  • Fatty liver disease.
  • Increased risk for heart attack and stroke.

The AHA recommends women and men keep an intake of 24 g (6 teaspoons) and 36 g (9 teaspoons) of sugar per day, so if you’re consuming even one serving of any Arizona energy drink, your chances of getting side effects can increase.

Artificial Sweetener In Arizona Energy Drink

Artificial sweeteners are another main ingredient included in an energy drink, while some energy drinks use sucralose which is one of the safest sweeteners, others use High Fructose Corn Syrup which can be bad for your health, especially when consumed in immoderation.

Well, Arizona energy uses High Fructose Corn Syrup in all of its products.

High Fructose Corn syrup provides similar effects as any sweetener does, however, it can also cause side effects, which isn’t common among artificial sweeteners, therefore you should steer clear of energy drinks that include such kinds of sweeteners.

Calories In Arizona Energy Drink

Calories are important as well which is why you need to consume enough calories to help your body remain healthy. However, I don’t recommend you consume energy drinks with high calories, because these drinks aren’t as healthy as they may claim.

Energy drinks with zero to low calories are much better than the ones with too many calories. Unfortunately, Arizona energy is one of those brands that include too many calories in a small serving.

Every Arizona energy drink includes 75 to 150 calories per serving; Arizona Rx Energy has 130, Lemon Tea has 150, Green Tea has 100, Sweet Tea has 130, and Arnold Palmer has 80 calories per serving.

If you’re someone who prefers low-calorie energy drinks, I don’t think that Arizona energy products can fit the bill.

Whether you have your own specific calorie count or you just go with the daily recommended count (2000 for women and 2500 for men), Arizona energy drinks can’t be consumed daily.

How Many Arizona Energy Drinks Can You Drink In A Day?

Arizona energy drinks are simple, there aren’t many ingredients included, nevertheless, the sugar contents are high, which is why Arizona energy drinks shouldn’t be consumed every day.

In addition, another reason for you to keep your distance from Arizona energy drinks is that it includes High Fructose Corn Syrup which isn’t the healthiest artificial sweetener, in fact, it can increase your chances of diabetes and other diseases if consumed in a chronic and immoderate manner.

Alternatives To Arizona Energy Drink

There’re many energy drinks that are far better than Arizona energy drinks, so for that check out the list below:

Conclusion:

  • Personally, I don’t believe that Arizona energy drinks can be consumed every day even in moderation because the sugar contents are high and it uses High Fructose Corn Syrup as an artificial sweetener.
  • Moreover, caffeine contents on the other hand are moderate. Arizona energy drinks include 30 mg to 175 mg of caffeine per serving.
  • If talk about the calorie contents, all the Arizona energy drinks include 80 to 150 calories per serving.
  • There’re other energy drinks that you can go for as I don’t see any reason for you to stick with Arizona energy drinks.
