Starbucks Baya Energy contains natural caffeine, present in coffee fruit, as well as vitamin C to provide consumers with a jolt of feel-good energy. Except for the different types of fruit juice utilized in each flavor, the ingredients in each version are almost the same.

A 12 fl. oz can of Starbucks’ Baya offers 160 milligrams of caffeine. For reference, 160 milligrams is approximately equal to one and a half cups of coffee.
Baya has the same amount of caffeine as present in Monster energy drinks.
Caffeine levels in energy drinks can range between 40 and 250 mg per 8 fluid ounces. The FDA has specified that a healthy adult can consume up to 400 milligrams of caffeine a day since this amount is not linked with serious or harmful consequences.
However, if you are sensitive to caffeine then you can face symptoms of caffeine overdose at even little dosages.

Baya Energy Drink comes with 160 mg of caffeine which is “naturally” found in the fruit of the coffee plant. Caffeine, both natural and synthetic, have similar effects on your body. Energy Drinks containing natural caffeine are more nutritious as they contain Antioxidants.

I don’t think it’s good for you to take this much sugar every day from an energy drink. If you are diabetic or on a keto diet then Baya should not be on your grocery list.

Calories are a measure of the amount of energy you get from food. Your calories intake majorly depends on your physical activity, lifestyle, age, and metabolism.
However, the recommended amount of calories for adult women is 1,600 to 2,200 calories per day whereas men are recommended to take 2,000 to 3,200 calories per day.
To maintain a healthy weight, you must balance the calories you take with the calories you burn.
If you lead a sedentary lifestyle then the lower end of the spectrum is preferable for you. If you are quite active during the day, the higher end of the spectrum may be more appropriate.
Baya has 90 calories and most of it comes from a sugar source so, If you are looking for a zero-calorie option then Baya is definitely not a good choice.

Baya’s ingredients are not bad for you except for the added sugar.
Baya has a great ingredient combination for an energy drink with a decent amount of caffeine for drinking occasionally. But it can be bad for you if you drink it excessively.

Is Baya Energy drink healthy?
Although, it does appear that Baya has natural ingredients and there is no excessive amount of preservatives, additives, or other chemicals. And it is undoubtedly great!
However, cane sugar is the third ingredient on the list, and it is mentioned in the nutritional facts that 17 of the 22 grams of sugar is added sugar, out of which only 5 grams of sugar come from fruit juice.
This signifies that Baya is not so healthy in this regard and you should consume it in moderation. I’d be delighted to see if a sugar-free version will be offered in the future.
However, it does have better ingredients than most energy drinks on the market. Plus each can of Baya offers 100% of the daily value of Vitamin C.
Just keep your caffeine intake in check when drinking Baya. If you have already had two or three cups of coffee in a day then I suggest you don’t need to have an energy drink.
Can you Drink Baya Energy Drink every day?
No, I don’t think drinking Baya Energy drink daily is a good idea, it would be best to consume it on occasions when needed.
Drinking a can of Baya during a hectic work shift or a late-night study session is unlikely to cause any harm. However, if you consume energy drinks every day, it may lead to long-term health defects.
Research on chronic consumption of energy drinks has found that energy drinks can have a considerable impact on cardiac rhythm and blood pressure.
Since energy drinks have added sugar, long-term use may affect the body’s metabolism, including cholesterol, blood sugar, and weight.
How many cans of Baya can you drink in a day?
You can drink 1-2 cans of Baya energy drink in a day. But after noticing that it has 23 grams of sugar, I would suggest you limit your intake to only one can a day and avoid all other caffeinated beverages to prevent a jittery feeling.
Drinking one energy drink on occasion is unlikely to cause any side effects.
If you drink Baya excessively, the 23 grams of sugar with no fiber or protein to regulate it, will cause your blood sugar to soar. You may feel productive (although shaky) for 30 minutes or an hour after use, but you will most certainly crash.
Also, if you already had a cup or two of coffee earlier in the day, avoid having any kind of energy drink to save yourself from any health risks.
Is Baya Energy Drink gluten-free?
Starbucks is popular for its gluten-free expresso and oat milk. Almost all of Starbucks’s canned and bottled coffee products are gluten-free and are likely to be safe for celiac patients.
All the ingredients in the Baya Energy Drink are Gluten-free but it is not a certified Gluten-free product.
