Caffeine In OCA

Caffeine is an excellent active ingredient that energy drinks include as it stimulates the brain and the central nervous system.
It can also significantly increase mental and physical performance which ensures an increase in productivity.
OCA could have easily produced synthetic caffeine, however, it uses only natural sources, in fact, OCA has two sources of caffeine: Green Coffee Beans and Green Tea.
One serving of OCA contains 120 mg of caffeine, which is neither too much to give you jitters nor too less to not provide you with a boost of energy.
Nonetheless, whether it’s natural caffeine or synthetic caffeine, caffeine should only be consumed in moderation as excessive consumption of caffeine has been linked with many side effects.
Here’s a list of side effects that can be caused by consuming too much caffeine:
- Restlessness and shakiness.
- Insomnia.
- Headaches.
- Dizziness.
- Fast heart rate.
- Dehydration.
- Anxiety.
- Dependency.
The worst side effect of consuming too much caffeine is developing a dependency on it. Caffeine dependency makes you carve more and more caffeine, which can make your regular dose of caffeine much larger than it used to be.
However, when you fail to satisfy those cravings, you’ll experience caffeine withdrawal symptoms.
Here’s a list of caffeine withdrawal symptoms:
- Headache.
- Fatigue.
- Drowsiness.
- Dysphoric mood.
- Depression.
- Irritability.
- Difficulty concentrating.
- Nausea.
- Muscle pain or stiffness.
According to the FDA, healthy adults should limit their caffeine intake to 400 mg per day in order to avoid any potential side effects.
Moreover, 400 mg may be a regular safe dose for people with high tolerance. People with caffeine sensitivity on the other hand can hardly process 100 mg so it’s almost impossible for them to consume such a larger dose.
Caffeine sensitivity can be the cause of several side effects you might be experiencing, so check out the list below to get yourself familiar with them:
- Racing heartbeat.
- Headache.
- Jitters.
- Nervousness.
- Anxiousness.
- Restlessness.
- Insomnia.
OCA may be an all-natural energy drink, but you still have to keep its consumption in moderation.
Sugar Content In OCA

Sugar is used as an additive and usually, in huge doses which may not be ideal, it’s included in some foods and beverages to mask the bitterness that some ingredients may have.
Moreover, sugar is considered a reliable source of energy, however, the energy only lasts for a short period of time, but that never stops the manufacturers of energy drinks from including sugar in immoderate doses.
Unfortunately, OCA contains 9 g of sugar per serving, which in my opinion is slightly high and unnecessary.
It’s not clear why OCA includes such a high dose, but if it’s to mask the bitterness of some ingredients, OCA could have used artificial sweeteners like Sucralose.
Sucralose is an FDA-approved artificial sweetener and doesn’t cause any side effects.
Sucralose would have been a better choice as sugar can cause a number of side effects, especially when consumed in excessive amounts.
Check out the side effects associated with excessive consumption of sugar:
- Headaches.
- Irritability.
- Fatigue and difficulty concentrating.
- Feeling jittery or anxious.
- Feeling shaky or dizzy.
- Hunger.
- Bloating.
- Higher blood pressure.
- Inflammation.
- Weight gain.
- Diabetes.
- Fatty liver disease.
- Increased risk for heart attack and stroke.
According to the AHA, women are supposed to consume 25 g of sugar, whereas men should consume 36 g per day.
OCA is an all-natural energy drink, but the sugar content is slightly high for a plant-based energy drink. So in order to prevent any side effects, I suggest you consume OCA in moderate quantities.
Calories In OCA

Calories are essential for every human, they keep your heart beating and your lungs breathing. Calories also determine, how much energy you have in your body, the more calories you consume, the more energized you’ll be.
OCA is one of the very few energy drinks that contain only 60 calories per serving.
Furthermore, if you’re on a strict calorie diet, you can consume one serving of OCA. I assure you that those calories are negligible and won’t affect your calorie count.
According to some research, women should consume 2000 calories and men should consume 2500 calories daily.
How Much Can You Drink OCA Every Day?
OCA is an all-natural energy drink, meaning all the ingredients included in OCA are natural, even caffeine. OCA will provide the boost of energy that you require without any jitter.
Even though the ingredients of OCA are natural, they can cause side effects if consumed in immoderate amounts, so avoid consuming more than two servings of OCA.
One serving of OCA contains 120 mg of natural caffeine, 9 g of sugar, and 60 calories. While the sugar content is high for my liking, but the good thing is that it’s within the recommended limit.
