Another study, done by The University of Texas Health Science Center tested 44 perfectly healthy students after they had each drunk a 24-ounce energy drink.
They found that the blood vessels in the students’ bodies had somewhat shrunk compared to before they had had those drinks.
Although this effect was temporary, this meant that less blood would flow through those blood vessels and would result in an increased heart rate and could potentially cause lasting damage to the heart.
