The artificial sweetener that’s in Bang Energy drink is sucralose. Sucralose is a non-nutritive sweetener that functions as a flavor enhancer for our everyday food and drink products. As sucralose has neither calories nor carbs, Bang makes weight control easier especially if you’re on a diet. If you lead an active lifestyle, Bang would be a great complement for you as it’ll supply you with tons of energy without the extra calories.

To tell you the truth, I’m not sure myself. I’m not sure anyone does besides of course Bang themselves.

The subject of whether Bang Energy drinks really have creatine or not has been debated over and over again, but there hasn’t been a conclusive answer to that question until today.

Every Bang Energy drink contains Super Creatine, and it’s even stated on the ingredients label. According to VPX, Bang’s company, Super Creatine is supposedly the world’s only water-stable creatine and apparently breaks down into creatine once ingested.

VPX has been involved in several lawsuits before, one in particular filed by Thermolife International, LLC. Thermolife International, LLC claimed that Super Creatine is actually a false advertisement and that there isn’t actually creatine present in Bang.

An official statement refuting or addressing this matter has never been released by VPX (or I have yet to find it), thus whether Thermolife’s findings of Super Creatine is true or not remains a mystery.

It’s best to take this piece of information with a pinch of salt, Bang is a great energy drink but perhaps it’s better not to expect too much of the Super Creatine claims.

How Long Does Bang Take To Kick In?

It takes around 10 minutes for the caffeine in Bang Energy to kick in. Due to its high caffeine content, it doesn’t take long for Bang Energy to kick in after consumption.

After about 10 minutes of consumption, the caffeine in Bang Energy will enter your bloodstream and take effect by causing a rise in blood pressure and heart rate. Caffeine also affects the brain, triggering the release of adrenaline in your body.

After between 15 to 45 minutes, the caffeine in the bloodstream will reach peak levels. In turn, this will lead to an increase in alertness and improved mental concentration.

It’s also around this time that you’ll get random bursts of energy and feel a little restless from the adrenaline pumping through your system. This is also the best time for you to be doing your workouts, revision, and other physically- or cognitively-demanding tasks.

When Does Bang Wear Off?

According to this study, the effects of Bang will start to wear off after around 5 hours for healthy adults.

Caffeine has a half-life of 5 hours, which means that if you consume 300mg of caffeine from Bang, there’ll still be 150mg left in your body after 5 hours have passed. On average, it takes around 12 hours or more for the caffeine that you consume through Bang to be completely removed from your bloodstream.

However, the amount of time for the effects of Bang to wear off depends on many factors, such as your age, your body weight and height, your caffeine metabolism, and caffeine tolerance.

If your body naturally metabolizes caffeine quickly, the effects of Bang will wear off faster than someone with a low caffeine metabolism. Similarly, if you’re just starting to drink caffeinated beverages, you’ll feel the effects much more strongly compared to a veteran caffeine drinker.

You should also avoid drinking Bang close to your bedtime as caffeine can keep you awake for a long time and ruin your good night’s rest.

A 2013 study actually advises avoiding having caffeine around 6 hours before bedtime as doing so could reduce your total sleep time by one hour, decreasing the quality of your sleep.

So while Bang no doubt does its job well and can last for quite some time, you should know your body’s limits and stay within the recommended daily caffeine guideline to avoid any side effects.
