How Many Advocare Spark Can You Drink In a Day? (Explained)

Fell in love at first sip with Advocare Spark and now you’re wondering how many drinks you’re allowed to consume in a day?

Advocare Spark claims that you can drink three servings per day. However, I suggest limiting the intake to only once daily for quite a few reasons. Personally, consuming such high caffeine level is excessive and just plain uncalled for.

Advocare Spark is a powdered energy drink with a blend of nutrients; vitamins, amino acids, and minerals. A single serving is made by mixing one stick pack or one scoop of powder in 8 fl. oz. of water. Curious just how potent one stick packet is and if you can drink them regularly?

Nutritional Facts in a Single Serving of Spark Energy

Caffeine in Spark Energy Drink

Spark Energy Drink contains 120mg of caffeine per serving. A single serving of spark is either one sachet or one scoop from the canister. However, I don’t prefer this much amount of caffeine in a single drink.

People with high caffeine tolerance might like 120 mg of caffeine in their drink but personally, 50 mg to 80 mg of caffeine level is more than enough to keep me going. Higher levels of caffeine cause me nausea and restlessness.

If you drink too many beverages with caffeine, you may suffer from caffeine toxicity. Here are the side effects of caffeine overdose:

How Many Advocare Spark Energy Can You Have in a Day?

Advocare urges its consumers to drink up to 3 spark energy drinks in a day. The 3 servings make 2250% of the daily nutrient value. However, I prefer to consume one serving of Spark Energy at most.

Studies show that the safe amount of caffeine intake per day for a healthy adult is 400mg. Each serving of spark contains 120 mg of caffeine. Consuming three spark drinks in such a short amount of time makes the total intake of caffeine 360mg which is on the verge of the safe range.

I highly suggest that you should consume only one spark drink in a day. However, if you’re really desperate for that extra boost of energy, you can increase the intake up to a maximum of 2 drinks daily.

Why?

Well, because excessive intake of energy drinks causes serious health complications including:

Sugar Content of Spark Energy Drinks

A serving of Spark energy drink does not contain sugar. It has sucralose, an artificial sweetener as a substitute for those craving a subtly sweet flavor.

Spark contains non-nutritive artificial sweeteners instead of high-calorie sugar which makes it an ideal drink for diabetics. Well, as long as moderation is put into practice, I think Advocare Spark can definitely be a beverage for a wide variety of people!

If you’re looking for sugar-free energy drinks, let me guide you right here.

Vitamins and Minerals in Spark Energy

See how it’s jam-packed with a lot of nutrients the body needs? Advocare Spark definitely meets my requirement for it to become a candidate for the healthiest energy drinks I’ve tried so far.

However, to utilize its benefits without any harm, the drink should be consumed within a limit. Advocare itself does not recommend the drink for people under the age of 18 and those who are susceptible to the reaction by choline or caffeine.

Drinking Advocare Spark on an Empty Stomach

Drinking Advocare on an empty stomach can be harmful. In fact, drinking energy drinks without eating anything is not a healthy option because they contain caffeine which is acidic.

Consuming caffeine on an empty stomach increases acidity and may result in many problems such as:

Caffeine also doubles as a diuretic that causes excess excretion and urination. As a result, it can cause dehydration in the body which can lead to critical complications.

Personally, I take my energy drinks after breakfast, before I go on any physical activities! I quite like it when I maximize the boost Advocare Spark gives me as aside from the energy, I feel more focused to do tasks at hand.

Here’s a more in-depth explanation of why you shouldn’t drink caffeine on an empty stomach:

Effects of Caffeine When Consumed on an Empty Stomach

Effects of Spark Energy Drink on Appetite and Weight Loss

Spark energy drinks help in suppressing the appetite, keeping you full, and providing you energy for a longer time. Not only does it pack a punch in the vitamin perspective, but it also helps you maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Each Spark drink contains 120mg of caffeine. According to a study, caffeine plays a role in suppressing the appetite and vanishing the feeling of hunger.

Another thing to consider is that it contains taurine, an amino acid. Taurine helps in boosting metabolism, fat burn and eventually leads to weight loss.

However, the amount of taurine in Spark is too little to cause any direct effect.

Drinking Advocare Spark Before a Workout

Drinking Advocare Spark before a workout can give you that extra energy boost and improve your muscle endurance. Each serving contains amino acids, caffeine, and  B vitamins which are vital to kickstart your body to perform to the best of its abilities!

Caffeine works by inhibiting the secretion of adenosine, which regulates the sleep cycle and causes muscle relaxation. This is how caffeine gives you a jolt of energy and keeps you more active.

I like to drink a glass of Spark ahead of the day.

Once you consume energy drinks, they infuse into the bloodstream and within a short period of 45 minutes, it spreads throughout the body. That’s why I drink Spark a few minutes before I do exercises, they just need a little downtime to give the best effects!

Is it OK to drink 2 Advocare energy drinks in one day?

Just one or two servings of Advocare Spark per day depending on your caffeine tolerance will provide you with the most benefits from Advocare.

Caffeine consumption recommendations set by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) suggest that healthy young individuals consume no more than 400 milligrams (mg) per day, or about 200 mg per serving. In light of the fact that each serving of Advocare Spark contains 120mg of caffeine, it is important to not consume more than the daily maximum of 400mg of caffeine.

Advocare Spark really provides you with a jolt of energy, and that’s not only because of the caffeine content. Vitamins and minerals, such as the B-complex vitamins, are crucial for a sound physical and mental state.

How long does it take for an energy drink to fully kick in?

Caffeine from an energy drink takes around 10 minutes to reach your bloodstream after consumption. With this in mind, both your heart rate and blood pressure increase.

In addition, caffeine has a half-life of four to six hours, as reported by the Food and Drug Administration. This implies that half of the caffeine you take from a caffeinated beverage will remain be in your system and keep you awake for up to six hours after you’ve had it. And if it’s time for bed, preventing you from sleeping.

Is Advocare Spark addictive?

The Advocare Spark energy drinks are very caffeinated and also include compounds like taurine and guarana. Many people who regularly use energy drinks develop chemical dependency due to the beverages’ many ingredients’ potential interactions with the brain. It’s like being addicted to coffee, but much worse.

And from a psychological standpoint, Advocare spark energy drinks may be just as addicting. Energy drinks may cause dependency in certain consumers who believe they can’t function normally without them.

Effects of Advocare Spark on the Heart

Consumption of spark energy drinks in a moderate manner does not cause any damage to the heart. I would suggest limiting caffeinated beverages to avoid over-consumption and prevent cardiac complications.

Caffeine causes a short-term effect on the cardiovascular system. Increased heartbeat and palpitations might be noticed immediately after the intake of Advocare Spark energy drink. However, it is a temporary effect and goes away after a couple of moments.

Alongside, a study revealed that consumption of energy drinks can cause HR decline and changes in ST-T in healthy young adults. However, the blood pressure and other ECG parameters don’t change after the consumption of energy drinks.

I highly suggest consuming energy drinks moderately. Consistent increased or decreased heart rate than normal can deteriorate heart health.

Conclusion

One Advocare Spark drink in a day is entirely safe and a maximum of 2 drinks for people with high caffeine tolerance levels is not threatening.

As the drink contains 0 grams of sugar, consuming it daily is no risk to your well-being. However, it does contain high caffeine levels which may become excessive when consumed beyond the recommended dosage.

Personally, I find it relatively easy to consume one serving of Advocare Spark energy a day. The sugar is no cause for concern, and the vitamins are a very welcome addition to my everyday diet!

Still, since my caffeine preference ranges from only 50 to 100mg at most, I try to limit my diet so I won’t take any more caffeine when I’m on an energy drink spree.
