While this brand can deliver a solid energy boost, you might be worried if the drink can cause some side effects. After all, it does have quite a high amount of sugar and calories.
Here’s a quick answer: Hype isn’t particularly bad for you, but I wouldn’t recommend it for diabetics or those on a diet. And in general, you shouldn’t consume more than one can a day.

There are 28 grams of sugar in one can of Hype, which is an unreasonably high amount. Yes, I repeat, 28 grams for an amount of 250 ml of liquid.
Despite its delicious nature and ability to temporarily boost your energy levels, this much sugar should not be consumed as it can be risky.
The amount of sugar per serving in Hype Energy makes it unfit for daily consumption. Drinking too much sugar can lead to a variety of unwanted side effects.
According to the American Heart Association, women should limit their sugar consumption to 25g a day and men to 36g a day.
You need to limit how much sugar you consume from hype energy drinks, as they contain 3g more sugar than the daily recommended intake for women.
Maintaining a low sugar intake requires keeping track of everything you consume. This doesn’t mean you should stop drinking energy drinks, but do be careful of your intake.
But don’t worry, Hype has a sugar-free variant and you can also try other sugar-free energy drinks if you want to be extra careful!

B vitamins are essential for our health and well-being. We must consume B vitamins as part of our diet to keep our immune system functioning correctly and keep our energy levels high.

If you want to be safe, drink only one can of Hype Energy drink every day.
You should take no more than 400mg of caffeine per day, as going overboard can make you dependent on caffeine. Caffeine dependence makes you more susceptible to caffeine crashes or intense headaches.
Personally, I think one can of Hype is already enough. Plus, its sugar and calorie content just isn’t for me so I don’t really go beyond one can.

While it is a good-tasting energy drink, it has a disappointing amount of sugar and does not contain other beneficial ingredients found commonly in most energy drinks.
It’s not good for you in the long term as it has a high sugar content, but you still have the option of a sugar-free equivalent.
Taurine and B-vitamins only make up a small portion of Hype Energy. However, this is what comes at this price.
