MAW Energy Drink Review (Detailed)

Maw energy drink has 140 mg of caffeine, 5 calories, and no sugar, making it a good energy booster!

The 140 mg of caffeine is quite minimal when you compare it to heavy hitters such as Brein Fuel or Redline. But rest assured that it does have enough caffeine to give you that boost you were craving. It also has only 5 calories so it might as well be calorie-free!

Join me as I take a closer look at Maw energy! I’ll be sharing my thoughts on what makes the drink great and which aspects may make you have second thoughts.

Let’s get started.

Ingredients in Maw Energy

The primary blend remains the same, but some ingredients vary from flavor to flavor.

In its Energy and Focus proprietary blend, MAW Energy uses the following ingredients:

  • Natural Caffeine
  • L-Tyrosine
  • L-Theanine
  • Astaxanthin
  • Lycium Berry

As well as the above elements, it also contains:

  • Sucralose
  • Vitamin C
  • Vitamin B6
  • Vitamin B12
  • Citric acid
  • Malic acid
  • Fruit and Vegetable juice (Color)
  • Natural flavor

Nutritional Facts of MAW Energy Drink

Maw is more than just vitamins, however. The supplement also contains natural caffeine, L-tyrosine, L-theanine, Astaxanthin, and Lycium Berry in addition to 140 mg of Energy and Focus Blend.

How Much Caffeine is in Maw Energy?

In addition, Maw Energy drink only contains 140mg of caffeine per serving. The serving size of each supplement is minimal, and it’s naturally sweetened without those pesky jitters or crashes.

Compared to other energy drinks, Maw Energy has a fair amount of caffeine, but not as much as gaming-specific drinks.

As an added bonus, the manufacturer recommends that you can add as many as three scoops to your Serving for an even more intense drink.

MAW would contain 420 milligrams of caffeine per serving if three scoops were used, I would not recommend it at all! That’s just way overboard. One scoop is more than enough to get you going so don’t be tempted to add more.

According to the FDA, your maximum daily caffeine intake should not exceed 400 milligrams a day. Consuming more than that amount will cause you to experience the following side effects:

  • Insomnia
  • Diarrhea
  • Jitters
  • Anxiety
  • Abnormal heartbeat
  • Dizziness

As a result, you will lose performance when you consume too much caffeine. The last thing you want is to worry about these things in an RPG or a multiplayer shooter, where you’re out for blood and scavenging for materials.

I recommend that you drink no more than two scoops of MAW Energy per day because many of us get caffeine from other sources throughout the day.

It would help if you did not incorporate energy drinks into your diet as they are not the healthiest choice. Unless consumed in moderation, Maw is a potentially hazardous beverage if it is consumed in excess.

Sugar Content of MAW Energy

Sugar is not present in MAW Energy.

Since MAW Energy is sugar-free and won’t cause you that dreaded sugar-crash afterward, you will be able to keep going about your regular daily routine when its effects have worn off or at night, whenever you consume it before your gaming sessions.

Some energy drinks contain excessive amounts of sugar and are not recommended to be consumed every day. To give a better sense of what the American Heart Association recommends, men should consume only 36g of sugar per day, while women should consume only 25g.

Sugar consumption can lead to several health problems, including:

  • Cardiovascular Disease
  • Cognitive Problems
  • Colon Cancer
  • Diabetes
  • High Blood Pressure
  • Kidney Disease
  • Liver Disease
  • Obesity
  • Pancreatic Cancer
  • Retina Damage
  • Muscle and Nerve Damage

Since MAW Energy does not contain any sugar, it is much safer to use for a prolonged time period.

Artificial Sweetener In MAW Energy

Sucralose is used rather than sugar in the formula of MAW Energy.

The FDA has approved Sucralose, which is sold everywhere in the world. It has a sweetness several hundred times that of sugar and is safe to consume.

The most significant advantage of MAW Energy being sugar-free is that it can be consumed by diabetics. The whole point of Sucralose is that it does not add calories to your diet; thus, MAW Energy has almost no calories, around 5 calories per serving only, which is basically nothing.

Still, despite the benefits of sucralose, you still need to moderate your consumption since excessive artificial sweeteners can be harmful to your health too.

Calorie Content in MAW Energy Drink

As previously mentioned, there are only 5 calories in each serving of MAW Energy.

With MAW’s low caloric content, it is suitable for people of all lifestyles, including those who are active and fit. Nonetheless, it is also perfect for serious gamers who spend a lot of time sitting and don’t want to put on weight from excess calories.

FDA guidelines recommend that a healthy person should consume around 2000-2,500 calories daily. 5 calories is just a drop in that bucket, so don’t worry.

Depending on the individual, the ideal calorie intake may differ. Calories aren’t inherently bad, you just have to have the right diet and lifestyle to make sure you’re not taking more calories than you can burn in a day.

Is Maw Energy Bad for You?

Maw Energy will not negatively impact your health if taken sparingly and in moderation. When consumed in large quantities, however, it can be harmful.

In addition to being sugar-free and only having a few calories, Maw Energy is also caffeine-free. Maw may be a little bit healthier this way, but it can cause serious health problems if consumed in excess.

Due to this, if you drink or eat caffeine-containing foods or drink Maw regularly, you will also be consuming more caffeine. Therefore, you must monitor your caffeine intake to prevent your body from experiencing a host of harmful side effects.

Side Effects of Maw Energy

The caffeine content of energy drinks, including Maw Energy, provides a quick boost in energy for a short time.

However, excessive caffeine intake can result in unpleasant side effects such as:

  • Increased heart rate
  • Blood pressure
  • Dizziness
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Headache

Therefore, Maw Energy isn’t just about the best parts, just like all energy drinks. If you consume this beverage excessively, you may experience negative consequences that you will definitely not enjoy.

MAW Energy’s Flavors

MAW Energy is available in these intriguing flavors:

  • MAW Energy RIP Harambe (Mango, Guava, Tangerine, and Strawberry mix)
  • MAW Energy Blue Buzz (Blue Raspberry)
  • MAW Energy Mythic Melon (Watermelon flavored)
  • MAW Energy Jungle Berry (Fruit punch)
  • MAW Energy Green Growl (Cherry lemonade)

There are two flavors that seem to be the most popular of the bunch, although the rest of the flavors are quite well received by customers as well. These two flavors are Mythic Melon and RIP Harambe.

Mythic Melon is actually a fan-chosen and fan-named drink, so it makes sense that the fans love it. The goofy name is enough to make me like it. It’s unique because it doesn’t have an after-taste like other drinks such as G-Fuel. It has the right hint of tartness and freshness that I like in citrus-y drinks, so I definitely get why it’s mythic.

The flavor I personally enjoy the most is Green Growl, which has a dash of cherries, my favorite fruit. The sweet and refreshing flavor of the cherries is enough to wake me up and feel refreshed for another day of work. Again, there’s no bitterness mixed in and the color looks great too.

In general, Maw mixes well with no chalky aftertaste. The flavors are also pleasing and surprisingly sweet, which I think will appeal to a lot of people. I do wish they have a more expansive flavor range, though. Especially since their current one is mainly fruit-based.

Conclusion

A wide range of reasons makes Maw a fantastic energy drink! With its low calories, great taste, and sustained energy and concentration, it’s a solid choice.

Plus, I did not experience any side effects at all and the caffeine boost lasted me hours.

I give Maw a 7/10, definitely a brand I’ll try again soon! And I can even see myself drinking it more regularly since I really like that the ingredients are naturally-derived.

However, 150 mg of caffeine is still substantial, so be careful with your consumption and consult a medical professional immediately if you experience any serious side effects.
