Mixt Energy Drink Ingredients

MIXT energy drink also contains the following essential components:

  • Natural and Artificial Flavor
  • Citric Acid
  • Sucralose
  • Acesulfame Potassium (Ace K)
  • Blue Dye

What took my attention was the particular caffeine anhydrous. Although not the first time I’ve heard of it, it’s still uncommon to be listed in energy drinks I’ve encountered.

Caffeine Anhydrous Content In Mixt Energy Drink

Mixt energy drink contains 166 mg of caffeine anhydrous to give you an energy boost and keep you awake. In fact, I can say that this amount is a little over the top if the only thing you’ll do is sit at the desk all day.

Caffeine anhydrous is basically just caffeine, however, it is processed in the laboratory to remove all chemical and unnatural particles. This is the reason Mixt took my attention at first glance.

Personally, I like my caffeine ranging from 50 to 100 mg daily. This is the perfect amount for me who’s working on the computer for the most part.

I usually take my caffeine fix on various energy drinks that provide me with a kick while still not giving me the jitters. However, I enjoy a glass of Mixt here and there for days I’d need to be extra hardworking.

These include hectic days where I’d need to stay up late, work out, or even common hiking with friends. Since it’s in powder form, I can easily take a scoop or two and pack it in a small container on the go.

For comparison, here’s a table of the common coffee drinks you can buy in the market including their caffeine content:

Brewed Coffee70–140 mg
Espresso125 mg
Instant coffee30–90 mg
Decaf Coffee0–7 mg
Caffeine Content of Common Coffee Beverages

Caffeine can cause side effects if you consume more than 400mg. You may experience the following if you take overwhelming amounts of this stimulant:

Caffeine Effect On Your Body

The amount of caffeine you should take depends on your caffeine tolerance and your body size. Take note that it may remain in your system for 12 hours so be wise in drinking them.

15 minutes after drinking caffeine, you can feel its effects. After an hour of consumption, the upshots seem to be stronger.

Wonder why?

This is because caffeine needs to be absorbed by your system for it to work properly. I’d advise drinking a glass of Mixt 15 to 20 minutes before your extraneous activity – it works well that way!

The caffeine you consume has been absorbed halfway into your body after six hours. So expect it to wear off for about a few hours more!

Calories In Mixt Energy Drink

There are no calories in Mixt energy drinks.

You will receive most of your energy from the caffeine in Mixt since it has no calories. As such, be aware that this drink is not a meal alternative, so get your nutrient fix from elsewhere!

A healthy diet for men consists of 2,500 calories, while a healthy diet for women consists of 2,000 calories per day. Drinking a serving of Mixt won’t dent your calorie count in any way, so feel free to enjoy it without feeling guilty.

Sugar Content in Mixt Energy Drink

Mix energy drink has no added sugar. Instead, it has artificial sweeteners in the form of sucralose and acesulfame potassium.

These artificial sweeteners are both common additives in commercial products. They are calorie-free and several times sweeter than sugar which makes them ideal in adding a little bit of zing to the formula.

Don’t be worried though, because both of these artificial sweeteners in Mixt are FDA-approved. Here are other sugar alternatives you can consume without being sent to the ER:

Take note that although they are safe for consumption, it’s a bad thing to excessively allow them in your system. Overdosing is still a thing, so know your own limits.

In this article, I’ve listed other sugar-free energy drinks you can try.

Nutrition In Mixt Energy

I made a brief table about Mixt Energy B-vitamins and their effects on the body:

Niacin (vitamin B3)Blood fat levels are improved, and blood pressure may be reduced. In addition, brain function is improved, and skin health is improved.
Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6)Besides strengthening your immune system, it promotes brain health as well. It also helps manage PMS symptoms.
Methylcobalamin (Vitamin B12)Maintains the health of your blood and nerve cells, as well as makes DNA
B Vitamins and their benefits

Personally speaking, I’ve had quite a few run-ins with beverages that boast of a plethora of vitamins. These vitamins go hand-in-hand with a whopping amount of caffeine, which totally defeats the purpose of marketing them as nutritious.

Luckily, there are still good ones in the market. Mixt’s vitamins may not be as plentiful as other competitors but if you look at it from a general perspective, it’s definitely great!

This vitamin Bs in Mixt’s formula is a great addition to start your day, aside from the moderate caffeine content.

Is Mixt Energy Drink Bad For You?

Unless you consume it excessively, it is not harmful to your health.

Aside from the ideal caffeine content, Mixt does not have any calories or sugar in its formulation. This alone indicates that the brand is good enough for you.

It has no sugar additives, no calorie count that may mess up your diet, and even have a nice amount of vitamins mixed in! If you were to ask me, I’d list Mixt as one of my ideal go-to powdered beverages.

Not only does it work, but Mixt delivers great results!

How Many Mixt Energy Drinks Can You Drink Everyday?

The maximum you should drink per day is one serving.

You might find it appealing to drink a lot of Mixt, but this habit is not conducive to your long-term health. Admittedly, this energy supplement does taste great.

Even I get a hard time controlling myself once I get a sip of Mixt but hey, moderation really is the key if I want to keep consuming it!

Along with drinking one serving of Mixt Energy Drink in a day, you can still increase your energy levels by:

  • Increasing water consumption
  • Maintaining a regular exercise routine
  • A good night’s sleep is essential
  • Sunlight is an effective way to obtain vitamin D

How Many Flavors Does Mixt Energy Drink Have?

There are a total of nine flavors available for Mixt.

Mixt and Ghost Gamer are two of my favorite powdered supplement
Two of my go-to powdered energy drinks

Mixt offers the following flavored energy drinks:

  • Blue Raspberry
  • Fresh Lemonade
  • Fruit Punch
  • Grape Popsicle
  • Orange Sherbet
  • Rainbow Candy
  • Sour Slurp
  • Starfruit Blast
  • Watermelon Rush

Among the flavors listed, I really adore the fresh lemonade and blue raspberry. Yup – you may have noticed I go for the citrus, tangy flavor profiles.

Fresh lemonade tastes just like freshly squeezed citrus fruits, just a little bit on the sweeter side. I enjoy this flavor on days I really like a kick because I usually get pumped up when consuming something sour.

As for the blue raspberry, I just can’t get enough of it. I was skeptical because this seemed like the most sketchy of them all, but first impressions don’t really last.

It tastes strangely of berries, bananas, with a bit of vanilla which just tickles my tastebuds. I think you may like it if you’re into flavor exploration just like me!

Conclusion

What can I say besides the fact that Mixt totally captured my heart?

With its 166 mg of caffeine, sugar-free, and non-calorie formula, I can confidently say that this powdered energy drink ain’t selling for nothing.

Granted, it does contain a bit more caffeine than I am used to, but it’s a good thing for extra productive days!

It also has a nice set of vitamins and minerals which goes well with the caffeine count. I’m pretty sure you’d like Mixt too, just give a few flavors a try to find your very own.
