Monster Energy Caffeine Content

A 16 fl.oz can of Monster Energy contains 160mg caffeine.

Monster Energy drinks contain 160mg of caffeine, while a similar volume of Red Bull has 112mg, and Bang has 300mg. Its caffeine content may seem average since it falls in the middle of the other two energy drinks, but that’s still a lot of caffeine!

That said, 160mg of caffeine is almost half of the FDA‘s recommended daily intake of a maximum of 400mg for healthy adults.

If you’re a regular caffeine drinker, I believe that 160mg of caffeine is enough to keep you going and boost your energy. But if not, you might want to check for other energy drinks that have less caffeine.

However, it’s still best to keep have it moderately because excessively consuming caffeine can lead to side effects such as:

  • Anxiety
  • Jitters
  • Inability to focus
  • Acid reflux
  • Heart palpitations

But of course, if you’re mindful of your intake, caffeine can offer you plenty of benefits. Not only does it help with increasing our physical performance but it also makes a great mood enhancer.

Monster Energy Sugar Content

Monster Energy has 54g of sugar, which makes it a pretty sugary energy drink.

While it’s fine to satisfy a sweet tooth once in a while, regularly consuming an excessive amount of sugar can be detrimental to your health.

For reference, the AHA recommends a daily sugar consumption of only 25g of sugar for women and 36g of sugar for men.

It’s clear that a single can of Monster Energy drink is more than twice the daily recommendation for women, and it also goes beyond the daily sugar limit for men.

That said, you may want to think twice about including Monster Energy into your diet as overconsumption of sugar contains side effects such as:

  • Weight gain
  • Risk of diabetes
  • High blood pressure
  • Damage teeth
  • Dental caries

Also, I strongly advise you to avoid Monster Energy if you have any pre-existing medical conditions like diabetes. But if you’re still keen on including energy drinks in your diet, you can opt for ones that are low in sugar or sugar-free.

Where To Buy Monster Energy In Stores?

If you’re out, you can easily find your Monster Energy drink at:

7 Eleven
Visit your nearest 7 Eleven to get your hands on Monster Energy

Honestly, Monster Energy is everywhere due to it being one of the popular demanded energy drinks. So, you most likely won’t have a hard time spotting one at your local convenience store.

Where To Buy Monster Energy Online?

You can also purchase your Monster Energy online, which offers plenty of good values compared to the ones sold at a brick and mortar. Plus, most online retailers let you enjoy free shipping! Though, this usually applies to some items or prices only.

Fret not! I’m here to help you find the best values for money.

While you can’t purchase it on their official website, here are some of the online sites where you can get Monster Energy Drinks in both individual cases or bulks of your preferred flavor:

Amazon

Amazon is a popular e-commerce platform that provides you with all your shopping needs, including Monster Energy Drinks.

While they offer good deals in bulks, you may want to be mindful of the shipping fee because it could be a little pricey.

Price: Around $14.99 (single can) – $34 (24 packs of 16 fl.oz)

Shipping: Free shipping for orders worth $25 or more.

Free 2 day shipping with Amazon Prime is available for some sellers.

Walmart

The good news is that Walmart is now online!

You can shop or do your groceries online from the comfort of your home through the Walmart website. Upon checking, they are available for both pick-up and shipping.

The prices of Monster Energy drinks vary depending on the size and the number of cans you’re going for.

Price: Around $2.90 (single can) – $18.90 (12 packs of 16 fl. oz)

Shipping fee: $6 for orders below $35

I highly recommend getting the Monster Energy drinks in bulk and make sure your order is above $35 to get it delivered for free.

Ralphs

Ralphs is a Southern California based supermarket that offers online groceries and deliveries. So if you happen to be living in this area, you can order your Monster Energy drink at Ralphs.

Although it leans more towards the more expensive price points, they do offer a buy two free one promo, which I think is an added advantage.

Price: Around $2.70 (single can) – $22 (12 packs of 16 fl.oz cans)

Shipping fee: Free shipping for orders above $35

Their standard delivery charges cost $9.95, and you’ll be sure to receive your order in not more than an hour.

eBay

If you’re familiar with eBay, you’ll surely know that you can get really good deals on this online site. But of course, this also depends on the seller and your location.

I tried looking for the best deals and I found a seller that sells Monster Energy drink for only around $42 (24 packs of 16 fl.oz cans). That’s about $1.70 per can which I think is good value for money.

But if that’s a little out of your budget, you can always browse for more options of Monster Energy drinks here on this link. However, you have to be extra careful searching for deals since shipping may cost you more!

Why are Monster Energy drinks so hard to find?

Due to aluminum can shortages and delays in sourcing key materials, the company is experiencing logistical and supply chain challenges. Despite recording the company’s biggest quarterly sales ever in Q2 2021, the company was unable to keep up with customer demand.

In addition, there are holdups in acquiring certain ingredients for the firm on both the local and foreign fronts. As a consequence, the Company’s supply in the second quarter of 2021 fell short of meeting demand in the Americas and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Is it okay to drink Monster energy everyday?

Monster, like Red Bull, has 28 grams of sugar in each 8.4-ounce (248-ml) can. Having even one of these energy drinks every day might lead to excessive consumption of added sugar, which is detrimental for your health.

Energy drinks are laden with synthetic caffeine, sugar, and other unneeded additives, so doctors recommend that healthy individuals consume no more than one can per day.

Which Monster drink is the healthiest?

Monster Ultra Energy Drinks are strong in B vitamins, low in sugar (only 10 calories per drink), and low in calories (just 1 gram of sugar).

A less sugary, sparkling energy drink with refreshing effects, Monster Ultra has 160mg of Caffeine and a lighter flavor profile.”

Can I Save By Bulk Buying?

Most of the time, it’s cheaper to purchase bulk buys than buying single cans.

For example, on Walmart’s online site, you pay $18.98 for 12 cans per 16 fl.oz of Monster Energy. That means you’ll be buying one can for only $1.5 each as compared to buying individual cans priced at $1.98.

Hence, buying in bulks saves you more money, and you also get to avoid expensive shipping fees.

What is the healthiest Monster Energy Drink?

Everyone’s definition of a healthy drink may vary according to their needs and preferences. Monster energy drink in particular offers healthier options. These include Monster Rehab energy drinks.

The Monster Rehab drinks line are low in calories and sugar. Meanwhile, Monster Energy Ultra Zero drinks, which are sugar-free. However, these products still contain caffeine and are not necessarily high on nutritional value.

Does Monster Energy Work?

In my opinion, a 16 fl.oz can of Monster Energy definitely works because its 160mg of caffeine content will surely wake you up. But of course, this also depends on how well your body responds to it.

It also contains 54g of sugar, making it one of the strongest energy drinks out there. This crazy amount of sugar will definitely help contribute to that quick energy boost.

However, that amount of sugar will also leave you with a high chance of experiencing a sugar crash once the effect wears off. When this happens, you’ll feel lethargic and sluggish due to the sudden drop in blood levels.

That said, I highly recommend you only have one can of Monster Energy when you really need a boost to power through a long day. Regularly consuming this energy drink will cause you more damage than good.

How Many Cans Of Monster Energy Can I Drink In A Day?

In my opinion, it’s best to drink only one 16 fl.oz can of Monster Energy per day due to its high sugar content.

Monster Energy’s caffeine content of 160mg of caffeine is relatively average and it’ll take you about up to 3 cans to exceed the recommended daily limit.

My biggest concern is its high sugar content. A regular can of Monster has an insane amount of 54g of sugar which is around double the AHA’s recommendation of daily added sugar.

Is it worth it to risk your health for an energy drink?

I personally don’t think so.

Overall, the safest and healthiest way to enjoy Monster Energy is to only have it when you really need an energy booster and limit yourself to only one can. If you feel like just one can isn’t enough, you can always have other caffeinated beverages that are low in sugar, such as herbal teas.

What happens if you drink 4 monsters in one day?

Drinking four monsters in one day is not recommended. It could severely damage your health especially if you are immunocompromised. Besides experiencing the usual side effects such as headaches, nausea, and vomiting, you may also develop diabetes, UTI and other illnesses.

Although the tolerance of a person varies, it is still not advisable to ingest caffeine excessively. Especially because Monster energy drink is not really vegan or high on nutritional value.

Final Thoughts

It’s safe to say that I’ve provided you with a good amount of options on where to get your Monster Energy drinks. But of course, you can always visit Mr Google if the places and online sites I’ve listed out aren’t at your convenience.

Having said that, I honestly think Amazon and eBay are your best online options to purchase Monster Energy drink. You’ll definitely find good values at both of these online sites. But if you want to get your hands on Monster Energy drink ASAP, your best bet is to buy it at the nearest Walmart, which also offers reasonable pricing.
