Whether Zoa Energy contains caffeine or not?

A 16 ounce serving of Zoa Energy is composed of 160 milligrams of natural caffeine. For its size, Zoa Energy has a very standard caffeine content. I recommend it over Celsius On-the-Go.

Zoa Energy has the advantage of containing natural caffeine, as opposed to artificial caffeine. The result is that Zoa provides a steady flow of energy, as opposed to sudden spikes and drops as you might experience with artificial caffeine.

There is nothing inherently wrong with 160 milligrams of caffeine, and most people should be fine with this amount. It is advisable to start with half a can to see if you are sensitive to caffeine.

Caffeine has amazing benefits when consumed in moderation, including

  • Reduced fatigue
  • Makes you more alert
  • Increased focus
  • Physical boost
  • Increased metabolism due to thermogenesis
  • Improved brain function
  • Reduced risk of illnesses like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s, along with Type 2 Diabetes and certain types of cancer (Note that these are long-term benefits)

According to my previous statement, caffeine is only beneficial when it is moderately consumed. There’s a risk of ingesting more than 400mg of caffeine per day, as the FDA recommends.

These are some of the possible side effects of caffeine overdose:

  • Headaches
  • Jitters
  • Vomiting
  • Nausea
  • Diarrhea
  • Anxiety
  • Insomnia
  • Frequent visits to the restroom
  • Dependence
  • Increased heart rate
  • Dehydration

As a result, it is important for you to monitor how much caffeine you are taking in throughout the day so that you are able to be productive.

Caffeine Intake effects

The sugar content of Zoa Energy Drink

There is no sugar in Zoa Energy.

In addition to 23g sugar, there is Stevia Extract in the 100 Calorie version of Zoa.

It’s hard to imagine an energy drink of comparable size that contains less sugar than Zoa Energy’s sugary version, which I find tremendously useful. Compared to Full Throttle, I prefer Zoa Energy.

Stevia Extract, which is made from the leaves of the Stevia plant, makes up for Zoa energy’s lack of sugar. Even a super-sugary version of such a drink wouldn’t be as sugary as the unsweetened version.

But even though 23 grams of sugar isn’t a lot, it is still a substantial amount of a person’s daily sugar intake.

Women shouldn’t consume more than 24g of sugar per day, and men shouldn’t consume more than 36g per day. Drinking more sugar will make you more susceptible to sugar crashes, which include the following symptoms:

  • Headaches
  • Irritability
  • Fatigue and difficulty concentrating
  • Feeling jittery or anxious
  • Feeling shaky or dizzy
  • Hunger
  • Bloating

In addition to tooth decay, diabetes, and obesity, overconsuming sugar can lead to many other problems. If you drink Zoa Energy 100 Calories, you need to cut down on sugar consumption.

If you prefer, you can eliminate all sugar-related risks by drinking regular Zoa Energy, which contains no sugar.

Sugar substitutes in Zoa Energy

Sucralose and Acesulfame Potassium/Ace-K are used in place of sugar in Zoa Energy, the same as in MAW energy drinks.

Zoa-the Healthy blend

Both these sweeteners have no nutritional value and the number of calories is so low that it almost seems like they have none.

Sucralose

Chemically modified sucrose is a sugar substitute. It is 600 times sweeter than sugar and contains 600 times fewer calories.

The aftertaste of sucrose is none of those associated with other artificial sweeteners. Sucralose and Ace-K have also been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Acesulfame Potassium (Ace-K)

As Ace-K is 200 times sweeter than sugar, it is possible to sweeten food and beverages without adding calories.

Moreover, Ace-K also lets people taste sweetness without consuming sugar, by stimulating the sweet-taste receptors on their tongue.

Other artificial sweeteners as well as aspartame and sucralose are often combined with this artificial sweetener. The reason for this is to mask the taste of sweeteners.

The body does not digest or store Ace-K. Substances absorbed into the body are eliminated unchanged in the urine.

According to the FDA, medications such as Ace-K should be taken at a dose of 15 milligrams per kilogram of body weight per day.

Zoa Energy Drink Calorie Count

In Zoa Energy, there are 15 calories, while in Zoa Energy 100 calories there are 100 calories.

If you’re on a diet and don’t want to consume unnecessary calories before eating, this feature of Zoa energy will appeal to you the most.

With Zoa, you can keep an eye on your daily calorie intake, allowing you a little more flexibility about the calories in your actual meals.

Remember that you won’t be actually getting any ‘energy’ from Zoa’s calorie content, as most of the boost comes from the 160mg of caffeine, so actually, your cells are at a loss.

That is why it is vital that you do not use energy drinks as replacements for meals or consume them on an empty stomach.

Despite feeling energized, your body doesn’t actually have the calories to support your activity, and you’re likely to feel sick in the morning after coming off your high caffeine.

You should therefore combine your Zoa can with a healthy meal. Having just the right amount of calories will give you an energy boost that you can put to good use.

It contains only 15 calories per 16 ounces, so you don’t have to worry about gaining weight by taking Zoa. Moreover, you might be able to lose weight by taking it since it contains caffeine.

Zoa comes in 100-calorie versions, so if you are choosing that, you will need to burn off those calories by exercising and reducing sugar intake, since it contains sugar.

Can you have more than one Zoa a day?

The amount of Zoa Energy you can drink per day is one 16 fl.oz can. You should drink it only occasionally, as too much can be dangerous.

When it comes to caffeine, Zoa has an average quantity for its size, and you shouldn’t have any issues even if you consume twice as much, as it will still be under 400mg.

Does that mean that two cans of Zoa are safe to consume daily?

I’m sorry, but you can’t.

What is the alcohol content of Zoa Energy?

There is no alcohol in Zoa Energy.

no alcohol
Alcohol-free beverage

The reason there is no alcohol in energy drinks is that caffeine and alcohol have opposite effects like night and day, water and oil, good and evil, Yin and Yang, you catch on, don’t you?

Anyway, combining energy drinks with alcohol has become quite popular lately, and frankly, the combination is both dumb as well as unnecessary.

Because caffeine makes you alert, while alcohol makes you intoxicated, alcohol is a stimulant and caffeine is a depressant. In a condition like this, you have a high probability of going overboard with alcohol consumption.

Furthermore, drunk people who are wide awake are more likely to drive home themselves, posing a danger both to themselves and to others.

It shouldn’t be my job to tell you this, but please do not mix energy drinks with alcohol for your own safety.

Various flavors of Zoa Energy

There are five flavors of Zoa Energy, including both the regular and 100 calorie versions:

  • Pineapple Coconut
  • Lemon Lime
  • Super Berry
  • Wild Orange
  • Original

Since the Original flavor combines Camu Camu berries and Acerola berries, you can expect a taste experience unlike any other. Try it out today! It is superior to Emerge energy drink for its incredible flavors.

Noteworthy Mentions

Final Words

I would rate Zoa Energy a 7 out of 10. Vitamin-packed and low-calorie, and with no sugar, I like it. There’s also a wide variety of flavors that would appeal to many people.

But I find 160mg of caffeine too much for me. It’s best to limit your caffeine intake, and there are some brands that contain a lower amount of caffeine and can still boost your energy.

You can, however, give Zoa Energy a try. It is a good idea to only consume one can a day, and you should read the ingredient list as well. Consult a medical professional immediately if you experience any adverse side effects.
