That’s definitely a lot more caffeine in a can as compared to your average energy drink.
You may already know that the general caffeine content for most energy drinks ranges from about 80mg (8.4 fl.oz of Red Bull) to 160mg (16 fl.oz of Rockstar).
As such, it’s probably going to be difficult to get used to Bang’s high caffeine content, even if you happen to be a veteran energy drink enthusiast, but doubly so if you’re caffeine-sensitive.
When it comes to caffeine, having more of it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s better for you or more effective, because caffeine affects each of us differently.
Personally, as someone who usually likes the caffeine content in their energy drinks to be somewhere around 100mg per serving, Bang’s rather high caffeine content isn’t something I would willingly go for or actually enjoy.
Of course, there are plenty of situations where you might need a 300mg caffeine hit, such as a late-night cram session or a high-intensity workout, so it’s definitely a pretty efficient energy drink if you can handle all that caffeine.

The main way that you get energy from Bang is through its 300mg of caffeine, with many of the other ingredients being nutritional additives that don’t really do much to help the short-term energy boost.
There’s a reason that caffeine is one of the most widely consumed stimulants on the planet, and that’s because it works.
Now, usually, sugar would be present in most other energy drinks so that your cells have some calories to work with, but since Bang is sugar-free, you’re only really getting the stimulating effects from caffeine.

How Long Does It Take For Bang To Kick In?
It usually takes around 20 to 30 minutes for you to start feeling the effects of Bang, depending on your individual caffeine tolerance and how fast you drink it, of course.
Depending on your caffeine metabolism and overall health, it usually doesn’t take too long for you to start feeling the effects of Bang, or any caffeinated beverage for that matter.
Of course, this also depends on how quickly you drink Bang: if you have a few sips over the course of an hour, you’re not going to have 300mg of caffeine hitting you all at once, leading to a more prolonged energy boost with a less intense peak.
On the other hand, slamming down an entire can of Bang all in one go means you’ll be getting 300mg of caffeine straight into your system very quickly, which I don’t recommend for everyone, as your body might not be able to handle that much caffeine at once.
As personal tolerances have to be taken into account, it’s hard to accurately estimate when Bang will kick in for you. That said, you should be feeling the effects within the first 30 minutes, if not sooner.
You’ll probably feel “maximum boost” around 45 minutes after drinking Bang. This is how long it usually takes for the caffeine to be completely absorbed into your bloodstream.
After that time, the effects will slowly begin to wear off, but it will be quite some time until you no longer feel anything and even longer until all of the Bang is completely out of your system.

Considering that the half-life (how long it takes for your body to process) of caffeine is around 5 hours, it’ll take about 10-12 hours for all the caffeine from Bang to completely leave your system.
Again, while you can find a theoretical answer for how long it takes for the effects of Bang to wear off, you’re definitely going to experience some variations as not everyone has the same metabolism and body weight, as stated by this journal article:

This will allow your body to convert the caffeine in the drink into adenosine. You will be more pumped to work out if the caffeine rush has already taken effect beforehand.
Do You Crash After Drinking Bang?
While you’re probably won’t suffer from a sugar crash after drinking Bang, its high caffeine content means that you might be crashing from caffeination instead.
Now, you’re not exactly crashing from the caffeine itself, but from the fact that you might’ve originally been tired, to begin with before having a can of Bang, as caffeine is no magical remedy for fatigue for more than a few hours.
While caffeine is present, the adenosine receptors are blocked off by caffeine, which prevents adenosine, which signals the brain to go to sleep, from binding to its receptor.
So while you may not feel fatigued, the adenosine in your brain continues to build up, which means that by the time the caffeine wears off, you’re going to be feeling a lot more tired than when you started as the adenosine floods back into your brain all of a sudden.
The best way to deal with a crash like this is to have an adequate amount of sleep so that your adenosine levels stay stable throughout the day.
