Short Answer: Drinking a can of 3D Energy drink every day is perfectly safe so long as you are healthy. Still, I would not recommend so to avoid caffeine dependency or overdose.
The FDA guidelines have identified the limit of 400mg caffeine intake per day – which means that you can drink up to two cans a day.
However, for the sake of your health, consuming one can of 3D Energy a day is enough. Don’t shock your system too much, especially when you’re a first-time drinker.

3D Energy Drink Caffeine Content
A 16 fl.oz can of 3D Energy drink has 200mg caffeine.
3D Energy has the same amount of caffeine as a 12 fl.oz Celsius, and 40mg more caffeine than a 16 fl.oz can of Rockstar or Monster.
For reference, the 200mg caffeine content in a can of 3D Energy is equivalent to the amount of caffeine in two cups of coffee.
Caffeine is the most common ingredient in all energy drinks. Some of the benefits of consuming caffeine include
- Improves memory
- Increases performance during exercise
- Improves logical reasoning and shorten reaction time
- Relieves post-workout muscle ache
- Detoxes the liver
If you happen to be caffeine sensitive, 3D Energy may not be the best energy drink for you as its caffeine content is considered high.
It is important to follow the recommended caffeine intake per day, i.e. 400mg as set by FDA to avoid unwanted effects and caffeine discomforts.
This means that if you do consume 3D Energy, you only have a 200mg caffeine quota left for the rest of your day.
So, do take note of your diet when you sip on a can of 3D Energy drink to avoid overdosing.
You should drink it in moderation to avoid any side effects as follow:
- Fast heartbeat
- Fast breathing
- Restlessness
- Headaches
- Dehydration
- Insomnia
- Increased body temperature
A word of warning: If you’re pregnant or trying to get pregnant, limiting your intake to less than 200mg daily is recommended.
Does 3D Energy Use Artificial Sweeteners?
Even though 3D Energy is sugar-free, it does contain two artificial sweeteners, i.e. Sucralose and Acesulfame Potassium.
These artificial sweeteners are calories free so they do not affect your diet much besides bringing sweetness to your drink.
There are many discussions on the long-term side effects of consuming these artificial sweeteners, but the FDA has approved their usage. You are perfectly fine so long as you consume them in moderation.
B-Vitamins in 3D Energy
B-Vitamins or commonly known as Vitamin B Complexes play a key role in energy metabolism, create new blood as well as maintain healthy body cells, body tissues, and skin.
These vitamins are beneficial to our body functions and provide health benefits, for example
- Maintain a healthy appetite
- Maintain proper nerve function
- Boost energy levels
Here are the brief information of the B-Vitamins found in 3D Energy drink:
Purpose | 3D Energy (16fl.oz) | Tolerable Upper Intake Level | |
Vitamin B3 (Niacin) | Converts nutrients to energy; repairs DNA; supports system as an antioxidant. | 4mg | 35mg |
Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid) | Breaks down fats, proteins, and coenzyme A; promotes healthy skin | 2mg | N/A |
Vitamin B6 | Supports the central nervous system; ensures smooth metabolism | 0.3mg | 100mg |
Vitamin B12 | Generates red blood cells; maintains brain function and nerve tissue health. | 1.2µg | N/A |
This group of B-Vitamins can definitely give you a boost and allow you to perform better overall.
It is important for you to check with your doctor on the recommended B-Vitamins intake amount because you may experience the following symptoms if consumed excessively:
- Nausea
- Excessive thirst

Other Ingredients
3D Energy drink contains various energy boosters that can help you to get through your workout sessions or a long day at work.
3D Energy drink ingredients such as Taurine, Inositol, L-Carnitine Tartrate, Guarana seed extract, Panax Ginseng root extract, and Glucuronolactone are all effective boosters.
However, you need to watch out for the recommended intake to avoid overdose.
Taurine
Taurine regulates heartbeat, energy level, and muscle contraction.
The body naturally produces enough Taurine on normal days. However, during “stressful situations” where the body doesn’t produce enough, you might need a supplement from 3D Energy.
Energy drinks with Taurine are favorable as it lowers cholesterol level and improves blood flow.
Inositol
Inositol is a vitamin-like substance that plays a key role in serotonin modulation. It can also be found in fruits, beans, grains, and nuts.
Surprisingly, it is perfectly safe to ingest much Inositol since serotonin influences the happiness and well-being of a person. So, if you are feeling down, take a few sips of 3D Energy drink!
L-Carnitine Tartrate
L-Carnitine Tartrate is an amino acid derivative and is commonly found in energy drinks, with 3D Energy not being an exception.
It is used as a supplement to
- Improve memory
- Increase performance
- Increase energy level
However, it should be taken in moderation to avoid symptoms such as nausea, muscle pain, weakness, vomiting, and upset stomach.
The amount of L-Carnitine Tartrate in 3D Energy is relatively small so you can drink it with ease, knowing that you will not be experiencing any of the symptoms mentioned above.
Panax Ginseng Root Extract
Panax Ginseng Root Extract is a medicinal herb with anti-fatigue properties. It is a commonly used ingredient in energy drinks, including 3D Energy. Most of the energy drinks contain 8 to 400mg of Ginseng per can of 16 fl.oz.
Some of the benefits of consuming it include
- Relieves stress
- Increases energy levels
- Improve mood
- Reduces inflammation
Guarana Seed Extract
The Guarana seed extract is another energy drink ingredient that increases a person’s alertness and has a stimulating effect, but the effects vary among individuals.
It also reduces fatigue and improves focus. So, in theory, you’ll get less tired and gain more focus by drinking 3D Energy drink.
Glucuronolactone
Glucuronolactone is another nutritious content found in the 3D Energy drink. It prevents glycogen depletion by stopping other substances deplete supplies in the muscles.
It is used as an ingredient in energy drinks like 3D Energy to increase alertness and athletic performance. However, there isn’t any scientific evidence to prove such a claim.
Other than these, 3D Energy also contains vitamin D that boosts the immune system. Calcium and potassium in the drink make the body stronger as well.
Does 3D have creatine in it?
The 3D energy drink does not include creatine. You may thank caffeine, taurine, and B vitamins for the boost you get from a can of 3D. Don’t worry; 3D Energy Drink will still give you a boost of energy even if it doesn’t include any creatine.
3D energy drink has a number of nutrients that work together to give you a jolt of energy. Plus, consumers who use the product, such as athletes or fans of energy drinks, say it is still satisfactory.
Is 3D energy drink a pre workout?
Whether you need a boost first thing in the morning, or before a workout, 3D Energy Drinks are the way to go. The caffeine content per can or bottle is 200mg, while other ingredients including taurine, guarana, and inositol make up the remaining 1.5g.
As long as you don’t overdo it, the drink’s modest dose of caffeine, lack of sugar, and minimal carbohydrates and calories should keep you safe from unwanted side effects.
Is It Okay to Drink 3D Energy Every Day?
Energy drinks usually contain a high amount of sugar. Most energy drinks in the market contain 27 to 31 grams of sugar per eight ounces.
The American Heart Association guidelines suggest a limit of 25 grams of sugar for women, which is approximately 6 teaspoons, and 36 grams for men which is about 9 teaspoons.
You’re safe with 3D Energy drink because of its zero percent sugar content and safe ingredients. Yet, you should note that it contains artificial sweeteners such as sucralose, which is sweeter than sugar by 400 to 700 times.
In my opinion, it is not okay to drink 3D Energy every day because excessive consumption of energy drinks can lead to heart arrhythmias, headaches, anxiety, and high blood pressure.
Generally, energy drinks can cause problems with heart risk and increased systolic blood pressure.
Moreover, large intake of caffeine can lead to:
- heart rhythm disturbance
- heart palpitations
- increased heart rate
- high blood pressure
All-in-all, you should alternate your consumptions between days or limit it to 2 to 3 times a week.

What Happens if You Have Too Much Caffeine?
Drinking too much 3D Energy drinks can lead to caffeine overdose.
Caffeine overdose happens when you consume more caffeine than the body can handle.
But, some people can ingest well above the recommended 400mg of daily caffeine intake. Still, I wouldn’t recommend overconsumption of 3D Energy drinks to avoid experiencing any of the symptoms:
- Dizziness
- Diarrhea
- Fever
- Irritability
- Headache
- Increased thirst
These are the serious symptoms that require immediate medical attention:
- Breathing problems
- Confusions
- Chest pain
- Vomiting
- Hallucinations
- Convulsions
- Uncontrollable muscle movement
- Shock
The good news is caffeine overdose is treatable without creating long-term health problems. Nonetheless, it can cause death if left untreated.
How Many Cans of 3D Energy Should I Have a Day?
The answer is at most 1 can of 16 fl.oz of 3D Energy. Drinking too many caffeinated drinks in one go can cause harm to your body.
To recap, 3D Energy drink contains 200 mg of caffeine in its 16 fl.oz can.
Be reminded of the FDA’s guideline that advised against the consumption of caffeine beyond the daily limit of 400mg per day. Consequently, it is best to only drink a can of 3D Energy drink and avoid other caffeinated drinks for the rest of the day in case of overdosing.
The first can of 3D Energy drink creates an intense sweetness that hits your body. This, in turn, increases the sugar level in your body which pushes the pancreas to produce more insulin to cope with the changes.
You’ll probably feel the “sugar high” feeling during the first couple of hours. Then, you’ll notice the energy level dropping down which makes you feel tired and drowsy.
After that, you will crave for something sweet and sugary which puts you through an unhealthy eating cycle.
To see the bigger picture, drinking too much of 3D Energy drink in one go affects your overall health. Sometimes, you may also consume other drinks which have caffeine content without realizing that you have reached your daily caffeine limit.
Other than that, some people may suffer nagging headaches, migraines, and insomnia.
These symptoms take a long time to get eliminated which may lead to chronic health problems such as liver damage.
Is 3D Energy Drink Bad for You?
I think that 3D Energy drink is bad for you if you consume it daily. Due to its high caffeine content, you should drink it in moderation.
Overconsumption of caffeinated energy drinks like 3D Energy can lead to side effects such as addiction, increased heart rate, restlessness, insomnia, etc.
Therefore, you should always keep in mind that the FDA recommended a maximum caffeine intake of 400mg to avoid health complications.
Final Thoughts
In my honest opinion, it is not the best idea to drink 3D Energy drink every day to avoid caffeine overdose and addiction.
It could be good for you if only it is taken in moderation. You could probably alternate your energy drink consumptions with other healthy beverages such as juice or milk.
