Even so, you might have a curiosity about what exactly is in a single can of Mother Energy Drink, right?

In short, Mother Energy Drink Original contains 51 g of sugar and 160 mg of caffeine that definitely gives you the energy you need, but you have to consume it in moderation else it could cause sugar crashes and even serious health issues.

That said, it’s no doubt that a Mother Energy Drink’s sugar-free version is the healthier choice if you’re keenly conscious about your health.

These ingredients are fairly standard in any drink. I think drinking Mother Energy Drink in moderation is completely fine.

How many calories are in a can of Mother Energy Drink?

Mother Energy Original 500 ml can contain about 228 calories, but the same size as its sugar-free version contains only 23 calories.

Considering the calories, the Sugar-Free version will obviously be a much better choice if you are trying to lose weight. Despite having only one-tenth the calorie content of the Original, it still tastes great.

However, if you have a pretty active lifestyle and maintain a workout daily, the high calories won’t affect you they’ll be burnt off quickly, but I don’t recommend the Mother Energy Original if you plan on getting in shape.

In fact, your cells need some calories to function, so consuming a can of Mother Energy can lift you up if you’re feeling a bit lethargic.

Remember, it’s important not to substitute energy drinks for meals. Energy drinks can’t provide the same level of nutrients as a balanced diet.

Ultimately, as long as you aren’t taking it excessively, you shouldn’t have a problem with the calories that Mother Energy Drink contains.

Keeping in mind that the recommended calories per day for an adult are around 2000 to 2500 per day, a single can of Mother Energy Original has almost one-tenth of your daily intake, which is, in my opinion, not a big deal.

How much sugar does Mother Energy Drink contain?

You can go sugar-free in Mother!

A 500 ml Mother Energy Original can have 51 g of sugar, while the other version is sugar-free.

Having a sugar-free option is a great idea. In my opinion, the 51 g of sugar in just one can of Mother Energy Original can be a bit concerning.

Based on the AHA’s recommendations a maximum daily sugar intake should not be greater than 36 g for men and 25 g for women.

Ignoring this fact may lead to a sharp drop in blood sugar levels that may result in a sugar crash. There are some other risks of sugar intake which include:

  • Increased Risks of Heart Disease
  • Diabetes
  • Acne
  • Addiction
  • Ageing Skin
  • Drained Energy

I would really suggest going for the sugar-free option. That doesn’t mean you should avoid the Original version completely. You can always have some from time to time, but keep in mind the dangers of sugar crashes.

Mother Energy Drink Caffeine Content

Caffeine can boost up your energy.

The caffeine content in Mother Energy Drink is higher than in some energy drinks. This is the main ingredient for helping boost your energy. 

The Original Mother Energy contains 160 g per 500 ml can, while, with a single 1 milligram of difference, the sugar-free version has 159 mg of caffeine.

There are stronger energy drinks available in the market. Personally, I think 160 mg of caffeine is way too much for your body. 

160 mg seems like a small amount, but it’s a lot for caffeine. According to FDA, the highest amount of caffeine intake must not exceed 400 mg per day. This clearly shows that you should not have more than 2 cans of Mother Energy Drink per day.

Though caffeine consumption in moderation can give you an energy boost and make you stay alert, the excessive intake of caffeine can cause several significant adverse effects, take a look at the list below.

  • Shakiness
  • Restlessness
  • Nausea
  • Muscle aches
  • Increased heart rate

You just have to be sure not to have other caffeinated beverages with Mother Energy Drink. These can very easily push you off the limit.

Mother Energy Drink Artificial Sweeteners

The Sugar-Free version of Mother Energy Drink does contain artificial sweeteners called acesulfame potassium and sucralose. They are zero-calorie sweeteners used to substitute the lack of sugar in the drink. While the original version does not have artificial sweeteners.

Artificial sweeteners not only taste about 200 to 600 times sweeter than sugar, but they also don’t leave you feeling like you had way too many calories for the day.

It’s still wise to limit your artificial sweeteners intake. Studies have shown there are some health hazards linked with their ingredients.

Can you drink Mother Energy daily?

Mother Energy Drink may give you an energy boost or keep you stay alert, but if you drink too much, it poses a health risk due to its high caffeine and sugar content.

It all depends on how well you adapt to the drink and for what purpose you are drinking it. Occasionally drinking it is fine, but consuming it daily, I think, is dangerous for your health.

Basically, if you consume Mother Energy Drinks in moderation and only when you need them, then you should be fine.

Mother Energy Drink Side Effects

As with most energy drinks, Mother Energy contains a standard level of caffeine, but its sugar content is pretty alarming and is likely to cause serious health problems if not consumed sensibly.

Mother Energy Drink is great for boosting motivation and boosting your energy levels. They have an incredible mixture of ingredients that will absolutely keep you awake.

Unfortunately, Mother Energy contains an alarming amount of sugar (51 g per 500 ml), so I personally wouldn’t drink a beverage as sugary as this. You may not feel the effects of excessive sugar intake immediately but it could become a serious problem in the long run.

If you need that extra boost of energy, it’s fine to intake Mother Energy, but don’t rely on it too much, because it can be addicting.

Is Mother Energy Drink a good day starter?

In the Morning, you are likely to experience a noticeable boost for the first couple of hours after taking the Mother Energy, but when your body has processed the sugar, you might experience sugar crashes and the effects would start to fade rapidly.

I would say it is not a healthy choice to drink Mother Energy just after you wake up. Instead, I’d prefer Coffee to Mother Energy, containing fewer amounts of caffeine. The sugar contents entirely depend on you how much you’d like to add to your cup.

Mother Energy Drink’s B vitamins

Having B-Vitamins in Mother Energy isn’t surprising. These are very common in energy drinks, and they can have substantial health benefits.

Mother Energy comes with a healthy dose of B-Vitamins, but if you need a more substantial B-Vitamin intake, you should take nutritional supplements.

Vitamins B3 (Niacin)

Niacin helps your body to release energy and maintains skin health. Its tolerable upper intake level is 35 mg, while Mother Energy contains 9 mg of it.

Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid)

Pantothenic Acid builds and breaks downs fatty acids, and performs other metabolic functions. Mother Energy has 3.3 mg of it. Since no hazardous causes have been observed, so the tolerable upper intake has not been established.

Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine)

Pyridoxine stores energy from protein and carbohydrates, and perform the formation of red blood cells. Its recommended upper intake level is 100 mg, while Mother Energy contains only 1 mg of it.

Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin)

Cobalamin releases energy from food and forms red blood cells plus it helps to maintain the nervous system healthy. Mother Energy contains 0.5 μg and the tolerable upper limit has not been set.

How long does Mother Energy Drink last?

Consuming the Mother Energy Drink would give you the boost for the first couple of hours. The effects would wear off as soon as your body has processed the sugar.

After ingesting the caffeine your body takes to process half of it in almost 5 hours. While the total clearance of caffeine from your system approximately takes 10-12 hours.

Naturally, the duration of one can of Mother Energy will differ depending on several variances, especially when you consider factors like metabolism and caffeine sensitivity, which can vary from person to person.

On average, it should make you stay focused and energetic for at least an hour or two after when you feel the caffeine effects are noticeable.

If you plan your schedule around it, you won’t wind up with mild insomnia afterward. I would say caffeine should be avoided for at least 6 hours before you want to try to sleep.

Is Mother Energy Drink bad for you?

Moderate consumption of Mother Energy Drinks is not harmful to your health. If you follow a reasonably healthy lifestyle, you should be fine with a can every now and then.

If you consider how frequently you consume one, you should be fine. It’s a good idea to limit yourself to one can every day.

In a nutshell, if you have Mother Energy in moderation and only when necessary, I personally believe it will not negatively affect your health.
