Red Bull Energy Drink has become one of the most popular energy drinks out there. Professionals and top athletes have appreciated its special formula to enhance their performance and concentration.

Red Bull narrates this flavor (yellow edition) as feeling the exotic taste of tropical fruits.

Taste of Red Bull Yellow Edition

Red Bull Yellow Edition comes in an active yellow can, implying a pleasant and refreshing feel. Its taste is similar to pineapple, lemons, papaya, apple, and some tropical fruits.

Even though this edition comprises artificial flavors, I think its flavor is satisfactory. Your purchase will not be in vain. It gives you the same energy as the original Red Bull.

Caffeine Content in Yellow Edition

A single 12 fl. oz can of Red Bull Yellow Edition includes 114 mg of caffeine, equivalent to a cup of home-brewed coffee.

Caffeine plays a vital role in why people drink energy drinks since it helps you keep awake and improves concentration. But it will be best if you keep your caffeine intake to a tolerable level.

According to FDA’s daily caffeine consumption, you should consume caffeine no more than 400 mg per day, as consuming beyond this amount can prompt the following side effects;

Sugar Content in Red Bull Yellow Edition

Red Bull Yellow Edition contains 38g of sugars, which I think is a pretty high amount for an energy drink.

According to AHA, maximum daily sugar consumption for males is 36g and for females is 25g, respectively. So it is recommended to consume Red Bull Yellow in moderation.

Consuming sugar in small amounts is fine as it acts as a mood booster, but having it too much can cause some serious issues such as;

Furthermore, you are more likely to experience sugar crashes which isn’t a great thing.

If you want to avoid sugar crashes, you can consume sugar-free energy drinks or energy drinks without the crash!

Other Ingredients of Red Bull Yellow

Red Bull Yellow Edition contains water-soluble vitamins; Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide), Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid), Vitamin B6, and Vitamin B12. These vitamins will contribute to the reduction of fatigue and tiredness.

Caffeine

Caffeine was consumed by ancient civilizations from natural sources such as coffee and tea. It was praised for its stimulating effects on humans.

Caffeine helps in increasing alertness and concentration. Red Bull Yellow contains 114 mg of caffeine in a 12 fl. oz can, which is enough for improving exercise performance.

Is Red Bull Yellow Edition Vegan?

Yes, Red Bull Yellow Edition is suitable for vegans as it doesn’t contain any ingredients that are derived from animals.

Vegan diets have been famous for a long time. Many people have decided to follow a vegan lifestyle for health, environmental and ethical reasons. So vegans can easily consume this energy drink.

You can have these vegan energy drinks if you are following a vegan diet.

Is Taurine Included in Red Bull Yellow Edition?

Yes! Taurine is included in Red Bull Yellow Edition and is entirely synthetic.

Taurine is an amino acid in the daily diet and is most commonly used in energy drinks, and is also involved in many biological processes.

According to PubMed, a human body having 70 kg weight consists of 70 g of Taurine. Remember that the human body comprises 70 times more taurine than an 8.4 fl. oz can of Red Bull Yellow Edition.

Some benefits of Taurine include;

  • Enhancing exercise performance
  • Promotes healthy metabolism
  • Protecting the muscles

Does Red Bull Yellow Contain Niacinamide?

Yes! Red Bull Yellow Edition contains Niacinamide.

According to ABC 10, Niacin is a common ingredient used mostly in energy drinks because it helps convert fats, proteins, and carbohydrates into energy.

Niacin includes many uses in the body, such as helping the nervous system, digestive system, and skin. It additionally assumes a significant part in getting to the next level of your health.

According to NIH, it is used for treating headaches, migraines, dizziness, and circulation problems.

Is Red Bull Yellow Edition Gluten-Free?

Yes! It is gluten-free. Like many other energy drinks, Red Bull Yellow Edition and its other flavors also don’t contain any gluten ingredients in it.

The company states on its website that all of its products are gluten-free, dairy-free, and lactose-free. It is made with caffeine, Taurine, water, sugar, and B vitamins.

If you are a celiac and cannot digest gluten, you can see more gluten-free energy drink options.

How Many Red Bull Yellow Can I Have a Day?

I think you should consume just one can of Red Bull Yellow Edition in a day as its sugar content is 38g which is pretty high.

By consuming more than one can a day, you may experience effects of caffeine and sugar such as caffeine jitters or sugar crashes.

If we look at the caffeine side of things, you can easily consume this amount without any sides effects. But sugar content is high, so you will likely experience sugar crashes after consuming it.

Some of Red Bull’s Other Editions

According to Red Bull’s website, the formula for all the editions and similar. However, they differ in terms of flavors.

Orange Edition

This flavor is easy to drink and tastes like mango/orange flavor. But there was a slight aftertaste after consuming.

Cherry Edition

This flavor is the same as black cherry soda. It tastes like a sweet cherry flavor, but I liked the orange one more because this flavor gives you a somewhat bitter aftertaste.

Red Edition

This is a watermelon-flavored version of Red Bull and it tastes just amazing. I really liked it but the only thing I didn’t like was that this flavor has a bit higher price than others, maybe because of its popularity as its stock runs out very soon.

Silver Edition

This is lime (citrus) flavored, just like Sprite. It’s nice and refreshing but not very unique. I would give this flavor 8 out of 10.

Blue Edition

This is a blueberry-flavored version, and this flavor is not my favorite. I like blueberries, but I’m not fond of artificial blueberry flavor, so I’m not a big fan.

If we compare Red Bull Yellow Edition with its other editions, I would say its Yellow Edition is still the best. This one tastes like Tropical fruits and would give you a fruit punch that you would surely like.

Red Bull Yellow Edition Review

Overall, I would give Red Bull Yellow Edition a 9 out of 10.

I have to say I’m a big fan of this Red Bull Tropical flavor. It has a refreshing and smooth taste and gives me a boost whenever I need to get through my day.

I must say Red Bull is among the most famous energy drinks worldwide for a reason. However, it also has some drawbacks, like its sugar content is high, so having too many cans is harmful.

Alternatives

Although Red Bull Yellow Edition is a great energy drink, some people can put off its taste. Yet, just sit back and relax. There are a lot of delightful alternatives that you can choose from;

Reign Energy Drink

Reign Energy Drink is also a popular energy drink sold in supermarkets. It is considered the best pre-workout energy drink due to its high caffeine content (300 mg), zero sugar, zero calories, and zero artificial colors and flavors.

300 mg of caffeine can be a lot, if we compare this caffeine content with Red Bull Yellow Edition’s caffeine, Red Bull has an average amount. So if you are considering Reign, make sure you don’t overdo it and consume it before doing intense workouts.

Bang Energy

Bang Energy Drink has a wide range of flavors that you will definitely like. Bang is a pre-workout containing 300 mg of caffeine, zero calories, and is sugar-free.

Having no calories and no sugar is a plus point, but its caffeine amount is nearly equal to daily caffeine recommendations. On the other hand, Red Bull Yellow Edition has a moderate amount of caffeine.

Zoa Energy

Zoa Energy Drink contains vitamin B and C, and Choline, for improving focus. It also contains Potassium and Magnesium to keep you hydrated. Zoa comes in five different flavors, all of them having fantastic taste.
