Celsius prides itself on its mission to help its consumers achieve their goals in a sustainable way. They respect the hustle of every individual who works tirelessly every day in order to achieve what they set out for them. They claim to be healthy with ingredients like guarana, green tea, and other vitamins.
There’s also no sugar, preservatives, coloring, and additional flavors. Apart from this, they also claim to be non-GMO, kosher, and gluten-free. There are research studies backing up their product which I’ll be talking about as we go along.
I’ll personally rate this drink an 8/10. This sounds like a great drink, but what can we really say about Celsius?

- Ginger has a lot of antioxidants that can help reduce stress levels while repairing DNA. It can also help prevent the spike of blood pressure, lessens heart disease, and slows down aging.

- Green tea helps reduce the risk of cancer, heart diseases, and diabetes. It’s also another source of caffeine.
In this section, I’ll show you what vitamins you can get in a serving of Celsius. You’ll notice if you’re an energy drink enthusiast like me, that most vitamins here are also present in most energy drinks.

I honestly love the additional vitamins in energy drinks. It makes me feel like they’re not here, selling just an energy drink, but a lot of thought was placed in every product to accommodate some help for their consumer’s body.
Celsius Energy Drink only has 10 calories, making it a relatively low-calorie option.
It’s definitely a healthier option for people who may want to cut down on their waistline or to lose fat.
Your body needs calories in order to keep you going. While keeping it low can definitely be good, not having anything at all can also be dangerous. It may lead to bodily misfunctions.
Celsius Energy Drink has 200 mg of caffeine per serving. This is on the higher end of the spectrum, and if you ask me, a little too much, too. I wouldn’t normally recommend this high content of caffeine.
Caffeine can make you feel good in controlled amounts. It’s not such a bad drug, but then again, too much caffeine can also cause you to feel irritable, restless, and anxious.
“Too much caffeine” also depends on your body. About 400 mg of caffeine is recommended by the FDA for safe consumption, but most of the time, people can handle lower amounts.
I’d say it’s best to drink half a serving of Celsius and just work your way up if you need more energy along the day.

Sucralose is the main source of sweetener for Celsius. It’s considered as a sugar substitute but isn’t actually sugar. It only tastes just like it.
While for the most part, it’s good, it’s also known to cut the good bacteria in your intestines by half. Sucralose can also heighten your chances of inflammation.
It’s best to moderate your intake of Sucralose if possible. After all, a normal functioning body still needs some sugar to work optimally.
What’s the research about Celsius?
Celsius also has research they conducted in partnership with other parties in order to assure their consumers of their efficacy. Most of them are centered on the brand being a weight loss aid rather than an energy drink, but I guess it’s related in a context that it’s advertised as a pre-workout drink.

Is Celsius considered “healthy”?
Advertised as a healthy drink, with all of the information provided above about how it’s low in sugar and calories, I’d say it’s healthy if you drink it in moderation. It’s also vegan, kosher, non-GMO, and it even contains very little amounts of sugar.
The drink on its own is not healthy, though. It’s best to exercise and to make sure to drink only what’s necessary because, as mentioned, caffeine tolerance isn’t the same for everyone.
It’s also very inclusive for people with dietary or ethical restrictions including kosher and veganism. The non-GMO part is just a plus point for me.
I’d really like to drink this every day, but I’m concerned about the high amounts of caffeine. 200 mg of caffeine is a lot to take in, but other than that, it’s relatively safe so long as you drink a can a day only.
What’s so great about Celsius?
Celsius overall is good for you if you want to go to the gym for specific kinds of workouts. It’s very non-invasive to your health, considering the number of calories, sweeteners, and vitamins it has.
I’d say Celsius is a good drink, honestly. If it didn’t have so much caffeine, it could be one of the great ones. I think the taste is pretty good, too.
The flavor range is also quite nice. I’ll talk more about that in a bit.
What’s not so great about Celsius?
Initially, Celsius was advertised as a weight-loss supplement for its thermogenic properties and not an energy drink. Thermogenic, meaning it burns your calories. It faced many criticisms because of this.
At the same time, Nestle and Coca-Cola made a product called Enviga with similar claims as Celsius. Initially, it was just Enviga that got the bad end of the stick, but because Celsius was launched together, the backlash was also targeted to them.
Eventually, it was marketed as an energy drink, more suitable for people going to the gym. But why is this bad?
It’s bad because we now know that before it was even an energy drink, it became a weight-loss supplement. It’s bad because it wasn’t designed specifically for people who want the extra “kick” but for people who have a more active lifestyle.
In my opinion, the world is changing. We see gamers and office workers getting tired every day who just want a creative way to get caffeine, and so they turn to energy drinks.
If they pick up Celsius, they may also get the other properties like weight loss without the exercise, making things very unhealthy.
It’s important to know where the product originated from, who it’s for, and if you’re part of the people it caters to.

I think it’s great because it can give you the energy you need before a workout. It’s reliable in terms of giving you energy. Plus, it has a lot of necessary vitamins.
It also has a wide range of flavors and the taste is otherwise alright, too. I just feel like it might need to tone down on the caffeine for people who don’t really have much of an active lifestyle.
