Notable Ingredients

Following are the details of some important ingredients found in Rowdy Energy Drink.

Electrolyte Blend

Potassium Citrate

Potassium citrate functions as a medicine, helping your kidneys and your uric acid to be better managed by your body. It also helps to prevent metabolic problems for your kidneys and to avoid gout. Potassium citrate is extremely useful for treating kidney conditions as well as enhancing your overall health.

Sodium Citrate

Sodium citrate reduces the acidity of your urine. It reduces your risk of having gout and kidney stones. It also boosts your metabolism, especially if you have kidney issues. Plus, it keeps your body healthy and helps get rid of toxins from your body.

Magnesium Citrate

Magnesium citrate is usually for the treatment of intestinal disorders. It can help relieve constipation as well. Magnesium citrate also helps with metabolism and toxin control. Also, it promotes bowel movements as a laxative.

Make sure to read its contents carefully because it has some side effects as well, including abdominal pain, rectal bleeding, and bloody stools. Be sure to consume as little Rowdy Energy drink as possible to maintain your body’s health.

Energy Blend

L-Theanine

Tea leaves and mushrooms contain L-theanine, an essential amino acid. This amino acid allows your body to cope better with anxiety, depression, and insomnia. It balances caffeine’s effect on the body, making it an appropriate ingredient for Rowdy.

Gum Arabic

Gum Arabic is commonly found in acacia trees. It contains a dietary fiber that acts as a stabilizing agent, an antioxidant in several energy drinks. It makes you feel full and regulate your calorie intake. The FDA approved it for consumption with a daily limit of no more than 30mg.

I’m unsure of how much Gum Arabic is in the Rowdy Energy drink. It’s essential to manage your health and wellness by regulating your overall consumption.

Citric Acid

Citrus fruits, like limes and lemons, naturally contain citrus acid. Generally, it’s used as an additive, nutritional supplement, and cleansing agent.

Citric acid is good for us. You feel energized and always on the move after having it since it improves your body’s absorption of energy.

Essential Vitamins in Rowdy Energy Drink

There are two main vitamins found in Rowdy; Vitamin C and Vitamin B. As a child, we were taught about the benefits of Vitamin C, helping with our immune system. Vitamin B, on the other hand, has more benefits to offer, in my opinion.

I was surprised to find out that most energy drinks, including Rowdy, include Vitamin B. Not only that, but it has three variants of this vitamin. Vitamin B can help cell function, making Rowdy a minimal source of your daily needs.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is an important vitamin that significantly contributes to the maintenance of health in the body. Fruit and vegetables are generally high in Vitamin C.

It’s recommended that women should take a 75mg dose, and men should take a 90mg dose daily, according to the National Institute of Health.

Also, it helps you control your blood pressure and prevents the risk of chronic diseases. And, it lowers the possibility of heart problems and boosts your immunity.

B-Vitamins

B-Vitamins help your cells function well.

Rowdy energy drink contains essential B vitamins, including niacin (B3), pyridoxine (B6), and cyanocobalamin (B12).

Below is a list of their functions and roles in your body:

Rowdy Energy Drink Caffeine Content

With a serving of Rowdy Energy drink, you can get 160mg of caffeine. It’s the same as Rockstar and Monster energy drinks.

Your body can handle this if your threshold for caffeine is relatively high. It all really depends on you.

However, my personal preference is 50mg to 100mg of caffeine to avoid caffeine dependence and crashes.

You may want to consider the 400mg caffeine daily limit recommended by the FDA. Excessive consumption can cause serious side effects, including:

  • Anxiety
  • Addiction and Dependency
  • Dizziness
  • Dehydration
  • Insomnia
  • Restlessness
  • Headaches
  • Stomachaches

You’d have to manage your consumption to get the most from Rowdy Energy. I recommend that you stick to one can of Rowdy Energy a day to avoid the sugar and caffeine side effects.

Rowdy Energy Drink Calories

In one serving of a Rowdy energy drink, there are 90 calories. I think it’s pretty on average compared to Monster and Rockstar energy, which have 240 and 122 calories respectively.

Calories give you the energy to keep going. They fuel all your activities during the day. Based on your activity level, biological factors, age, and even metabolism, you need between 2,000 and 2,500 calories per day.

Sugar in Rowdy Energy Drink

Every 16 fl. oz of Rowdy Energy contains 18g of sugar.

While it has natural refreshments, I usually switch to sugar-free drinks because they’re safer for my health. You should always keep track of your sugar intake.

According to the AHA, women shouldn’t have more than 25g of sugar per day, while men shouldn’t have more than 36g. Rowdy energy drink is only 7g short of the daily limit of sugar for women, so limiting it to one can would be ideal.

Overconsumption of sugar from the energy drink can lead to unpleasant consequences, such as:

  • Acne
  • Obesity
  • Weight Gain
  • Type II Diabetes
  • Sugar crashes
  • Increased risk of heart disease
  • Tooth decay
  • Kidney damage
  • Increased risk of depression

Other Sweeteners in Rowdy Energy Drink

In addition to the regular sugar that you may find in Rowdy Energy Drinks, there are also sugars that may not be nutritious, most notably, allulose and erythritol. The addition of artificial sweeteners to the drink does seem a bit redundant when there’s sugar present.

Allulose

Allulose is a sweetener and it’s also referred to as D-Psicose. The good news is that it’s generally not found in foods and although it’s a lump of natural sugar, its function is similar to that of fructose, meaning it doesn’t affect your blood sugar level.

Allulose is an effective tool for controlling your blood sugar levels and for preventing serious conditions such as diabetes. Additionally, Allulose helps to boost your body’s insulin production by preserving your pancreatic beta cells. This can help protect your body from obesity and fat storage that leads to weight gain.

In case you still have concerns about the safety of the Allulose, then you need not worry anymore. The US FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has rated it as GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe).

Erythritol

Erythritol is yet another low-calorie sweetener that provides the kind of sweetness you get from sugar. It’s a common low-calorie sweetener, and according to one study, it can also be consumed without any risks.

Erythritol has no effect on your blood sugar or insulin, so if you’re health-conscious, it’s a great sweetener. Since it is most likely to be eliminated through the urine, this ingredient has minimal adverse effects. Still, you should be mindful because this can cause diarrhea if you drink too much.

Stevia Extract

A Natural sweetener, Stevia, contains no calories. You can’t have a problem with your sugar levels when you’re taking this, and if you’re trying to lose weight, it’s most beneficial.

Considering this, it would be ideal if you were to regulate your consumption because there’s absolutely no information available regarding the amount of stevia in Rowdy Energy Drink.

Monk Extract

Monk extract is also a natural sweetener made from monk fruit. Southeast Asia commonly refers to it as Buddha fruit.

Its distinctive flavor is 100 to 250 times sweeter than sugar. The mogrosides of this drink provide antioxidants to the body as well as zero calories.

Is Rowdy Energy good for you?

Moderate consumption of energy drinks is best for you.

The Rowdy energy drink is probably one of the better energy drinks on the market. It’s a drink that’s packed with a couple of ingredients that provide a good amount of benefits. This drink can help you stay focused and energetic while studying, working, and performing other activities.

Rowdy energy drink combines caffeine and L-theanine, providing a strong boost to get you through the day. With 18g of sugar and natural sweeteners, you would still have to monitor how much you consume. Personally, I believe it’s enough to have one can of Rowdy energy for the day.

For physical fitness, you’ll need to equip yourself with a proper healthy diet and regular exercise. Taking care of your body will surely be beneficial.

How healthy are Rowdy Energy Drinks?

As long as you regulate your intake, Rowdy energy drink is a sweet treat. This drink can lift your mood and give you a sudden boost of energy. Definitely, it’s sparkling and refreshing and provides a great experience.

It contains 160mg of caffeine, 18g of sugar, artificial sweeteners, and 90 calories. On top of that, it contains B-vitamins, vitamin C, and electrolytes that all contribute to giving you the kick you need for the day.

Is Rowdy Energy Drink bad for you?

It’s not necessarily a bad drink if you know your limits. It all truly depends on your own health.

You can see here whether Rowdy can be beneficial or not by comparing the contents with the daily recommended dose. Then, you can decide if it’s bad for your health:

Sugar18g25mg (women)36mg(men)
Calories90 calories2,000 calories (women)2,500 calories (men)

As you can see from the table above, Rowdy Energy isn’t that bad. This can provide a boost of energy you may need for the day, though you’ll need to be mindful about its sugar content. With one serving a day, you’ll get all the benefits without experiencing sugar crashes.

That being said, I’ll weigh down my personal insights into its pros and cons, starting with the cons. It’s common knowledge that anything too much is bad for you.

Drinking too many cans of Rowdy can affect your health drastically especially with the sugar content it has. Other than that, the caffeine content is also pretty high. Too much caffeine can lead to a bad caffeine crash where you feel anxious and jittery

With that out of the way, I’ll talk more about the pros. Assuming you do manage to drink a can a day, you’ll experience the benefits of caffeine and sugar with your energy. A little bit of both can give you the necessary energy you need in a day.

Another good thing is the minimal calorie count Rowdy offers. 90 calories for a normal diet is just about enough for a can of energy drink. For context, a cup of orange juice is 112 calories.

It really all depends on your diet, but I strongly suggest a can a day. With that, you can reap the benefits of caffeine and sugar without compromising your daily calorie intake.

How many cans of Rowdy can you drink in a day?

In my opinion, one can of Rowdy Energy is sufficient to keep you going through the whole day.

The best way to consume rowdy energy drinks is in moderation, even for healthy individuals. I think you should limit yourself to drinking one 16-ounce bottle of Rowdy a day.

The caffeine in this drink is just enough to boost your energy.

This Rowdy Energy drink is moderately caffeinated but has a high amount of sugar and calories. Consuming such quantities of sugar and calories can be dangerous.

One container a day appears to be safe, but more than one can have negative effects on your health.

Side Effects of Rowdy Energy Drink

Taking Rowdy Energy on a daily basis will give you more energy for performance, but be careful not to consume too much of it or you may experience the possible side effects.

Rowdy Energy contains a tolerable amount of caffeine. However, due to a large amount of sugar, it might be harmful to your health if consumed in excess.

There may be some side effects from taking two or more cans per day, including:

  • Weight gain
  • Acne breakout
  • Skin aging
  • Frequent feeling of tiredness

Also, the erythritol present in this drink can cause diarrhea. So, regulating your consumption is always beneficial.

Who can drink Rowdy?

Based on the recommendations of health experts, it may not be suitable for those with caffeine intolerances, young children, women who are pregnant, or breastfeeding women.

If you are an adult and don’t belong to the mentioned categories, you should still limit your caffeine and sugar intake in accordance with your tolerance or you may suffer from serious diseases.

I’d recommended that you limit your intake to one can per day. Moderate drinking is better for your health than overdoing it.
