Caffeine in X-Gamer

One 10g sachet of X-Gamer contains 200mg of caffeine. Based on this amount alone, you should never drink more than two sachets.

Caffeine is a double-edge sword when energy drinks are involved. On one hand, it can enhance physical performance, increase concentration and alertness, improve your mood and memory, and also help boost your metabolism, helping you burn fat while at rest.

Caffeine is the most popular ingredient in energy drinks

But it can also result in certain unpleasant symptoms when you consume it in large doses like increase blood pressure, rapid heart beat, jitters, increased urination leading to dehydration, heartburn, nausea, diarrhea and insomnia.

In fact, consuming caffeine on the regular is not recommended anyway, due to the risk of developing conditions like caffeine withdrawal and caffeine tolerance. If you want to know more about caffeine dependence and addiction watch this video:

Why do people become dependent on caffeine? This video debunks the myths and sets the record straight

Caffeine Withdrawal

Most people don’t know that caffeine is a psychoactive compound. In fact, most scientists have even compared it to cocaine for its mild euphoric effects and its addictive quality.

Gamers may be hooked on energy drinks like X-Gamer not only because it enhances their mental performance, which aids them in gaming sessions, but also because it boosts their sense of well-being. This may motivate them to drink it often.

Caffeine withdrawal symptoms can affect your day-to-day life.

However, much like a recovering addict, being off caffeine for too long can cause you to develop withdrawal symptoms. The longer you’ve been consuming caffeine, the more aggressive these symptoms tend to manifest when you go for any length of time without it.

Some common caffeine withdrawal symptoms include anxiety, depression, muscle aches, irritability, headaches, fatigue or low energy, poor concentration, and tremors.

Caffeine Tolerance

Another long-term side effect of caffeine is developing a tolerance to it. This is basically when your body becomes less responsive to caffeine, forcing you to drink more and more to feel its stimulating effects.

Because the effects of caffeine decreases with regular consumption, the physical and mental boost you can get from drinking a can of X-Gamer will no longer help keep you awake and alert during gaming sessions.

Many gamers may be addicted to the caffeine in energy drinks.

One possible benefit of caffeine tolerance is that you are less likely to experience the overdose side effects. But that said, overdoses are extremely rare anyway unless you are a teenager. Children and young adults are significantly more sensitive to caffeine than grown-ups.

Unfortunately, there are no quick shortcuts to treating caffeine tolerance and withdrawal other than to reduce your intake over time, drink plenty of water and try milder forms of caffeine like matcha.

Long Term Effects of Regular Caffeine Consumption

Energy drinks like X-Gamer that contain a lot of caffeine can leave lasting effects on your body with regular consumption, both positive and negative.

While regular consumption of caffeine may reduce your risk of developing some types of cancer like liver, colorectal, and skin cancer. It also prevents gout, protects against diabetes, and promotes gut health.

However, there are some negative side effects of long-term caffeine consumption like stomach ulcers, insomnia, osteoporosis, anxiety, and depression.

Sweeteners in X-Gamer

There is a measly 0.2g of added sugar in X-Gamer. I suspect this sugar content may come from dextrose monohydrate, which is used as an electrolyte. This sugar content is not used as a sweetener. Sucralose on the other hand is another thing.

Many energy drinks nowadays have zero sugar to appeal to weight-watchers.

Sucralose

Sucralose is one of the most commonly used artificial sweeteners in energy drinks. While it is declared safe for human consumption by the FDA, some experts say more studies are needed to prove its long-term safety.

For instance, one study found that sucralose caused an insulin spike in some obese people, particularly those who have never or rarely consumed the sweetener. However, experts concluded that you won’t experience these effects if you’re used to them.

Sucralose does have some upsides, however. One study found that it helped reduce body weight.

Is X-Gamer Bad For You?

In small doses, X-Gamer is not bad for you. It’s low in calories, has tons of vitamins, and has almost zero sugar.

You don’t have to worry about gaining unnecessary weight when drinking X-Gamer because it’s low in carbs and has zero trans fat. Unless you’re allergic to vitamins or nootropics then I don’t see how X-Gamer can endanger your life.

One thing you do have to worry about is the caffeine, which I have explained beforehand. If you are a teenager, are pregnant, or have medical conditions like hypertension, X-Gamer may not before you, even if it is sodium-free.

Caffeine increases your blood pressure and heart rate, and this may be dangerous for expectant mothers and the elderly. Moreover, caffeine can also have possibly devastating long-term effects on you if you’re a teenager.

Can Teenagers Drink X-Gamer?

It may be unheard of in your part of the world, but adolescents in America drink a lot of caffeine, perhaps too much. But according to statistics, teenagers are the fastest-growing demographic of caffeine consumers and over 83.2% of teenagers consume caffeinated drinks regularly.

According to this study, over 46 percent of American teenagers between the ages of 13 to 18 years old played video games on mobile on a daily basis, and there is a high chance that a huge number of that percentage are fans of heavily caffeinated energy drinks like X-Gamer.

While doses up to 400mg are considered safe for full-grown adults, doses of 100-400 mg are enough to cause some serious harm to children and minors under eighteen. Unfortunately, there are very few energy drinks that have this low of an amount, with X-Gamer containing 200mg per serving.

Teens who consume doses up to 400mg a day may tend to experience more violent symptoms associated with caffeine overdose like anxiety, dehydration, diarrhea, and in the worst-case scenario, even death.

However, even in small quantities, caffeine can affect sleep quality in teenagers, which interferes with the maturing process of the brain, possibly leading to behavioral and cognitive problems such as learning disabilities and problems with concentration and memory.

Due to the caffeine content alone, you should not drink more than two sachets. In fact, I would caution against drinking more than one. 200mg a serving may seem small, but if you drink two sachets that would put you at the maximum caffeine intake for that day.

If you are a regular coffee drinker, or enjoy other caffeinated foods like tea and, possibly even, other energy drink brands, then your total will easily go beyond the safety limit.

If you drink two sachets a day every day your chances of developing caffeine tolerance and caffeine withdrawals are greater. Even if your wallet can keep up with your caffeine addiction, you will not be getting much bang for your buck.

Caffeine will eventually stop working for you if you consume it too frequently.

All that caffeine you’re drinking will end up not being metabolized by your body which means you won’t be getting the physical and cognitive benefits that come from drinking products like energy drinks.

While I understand the need to stay awake for long hours, and to stay alert, so you can hit targets on the first try and maneuver the virtual landscape efficiently, it’s important not to rely on energy drinks. Unlike mana potions, there is a limit to how many cans of X-Gamer you can drink at a given time.

Conclusion

X-Gamer is an energy drink catered to professional and amateur gaming enthusiasts. It’s formulated with electrolytes, multivitamins, and nootropics to keep you hydrated, healthy, and mentally focused.

While it may help keep you awake longer and enhance your cognitive powers for a short while, you should never rely on energy drinks, in general, to give you an edge in competitive situations.

Just like you shouldn’t drink more than two servings of X-Gamer a day, you also shouldn’t be drinking X-Gamer every day. A lot of gamers have become caffeine addicts whether they realize it or not.

Get enough sleep and eat healthy food in order to keep your body in tiptop condition to the point where it doesn’t need psychoactive stimulants like caffeine to keep it running.
